I prefer to deliver something useful, provide AMPs with real value, and allow those who are interested in a refund to sell at the same price they bought in.

This will only be those who brought in via the ICO and not those who brought from the books during the ICO?

OF course, too many trades during ico, impossible to refund everyone. But who bought their high ico price were real retarded. ICO 43k and exchange price never hit 43k, lol.

Ok, I created a guide to success with AMPs investing:

1) Buy AMPs
2) Wait a year
3) Huh?
4) Retire

Gains on ICO investment were miserable. Nothing will stop it to dive far below the ICO level.

No shit sherlock! ICO was 30k plus. What is the price now?

If you burn decent amount of AMP's, there you have bigger value. Without any new investments or buying onthe market. Just burn those coins team.

I second this. I hope the team seriously considers burning a significant amount of AMPs and coming up with a reasonable inflation rate.
I think this is the best move Synereo could make right now to get some momentum back. Those AMPs being held currently do nothing for the project but drive investors away just for the hope that they may be useful to the project in the future.
If instead you had a reasonable inflation rate where a % goes to the people who use the network and a % goes to development, you could still hold *some* AMPs for future development (maybe 50-100m) AND have future funding from inflation WITHOUT driving investors away.

Advantages:
1) Gain momentum in price and sentiment
2) Attract new investors
3) Likely to avoid legal issues as investors will be able to get their refund through the market essentially (And then desperately wish they hadn't a couple months later)
4) Restore confidence for the future of Synereo

This is the quickest way I think to basically fix the current problems Synereo is facing and make everyone happy again.

Today, on December 12th, the majority of Synereo LTD’s shareholders voted in favor of Greg Meredith’s removal from the company’s board, as well as for the cancellation of his consultancy agreement as Chief Scientist of Synereo.

The market makes zero reaction to the news.

Maybe because, despite the importance of the news, there was no tweet and no new blog post? Instead the update was stuffed into a post of December 03: https://blog.synereo.com/2016/12/03/synereo-update/

What was not cool is censoring a sane-looking comment on that page. Compare with an earlier version: http://archive.is/o984R

Dear all,

Today, on December 12th, the majority of Synereo LTD’s shareholders voted in favor of Greg Meredith’s removal from the company’s board, as well as for the cancellation of his consultancy agreement as Chief Scientist of Synereo.

We wish Greg well, and hope to see him succeed as a major contributor to the global decentralization project we’re all part of.

On the 20th of January, Synereo will reveal its new development plan for a distributed social network, operating according to the principals of the Attention Economy and granting real value to AMPs. Our technical team is crafting a viable roadmap for a usable product, to be staged in a reasonable timeframe within our existing budget.

Synereo’s roadmap will include usable intermediate applications, which will utilize real AMPs and set the bedrock for the network effects necessary for a fully functioning decentralized social network. Additional info will be released as soon as the fine details are ironed out. Sign-up for alpha testing for the first Synereo application will open on the 25th of December, and we encourage all of you to take part so that we can deliver a high-quality product as soon as possible.

***

The last few weeks have been emotionally challenging for all of us. In the spirit of moving forward, and in order to allow for a successful incubation of this new trajectory, we have decided to establish a cooling-down period on our communication channels. Greg has temporarily been removed from Synereo’s Slack channel, in order to allow him, as well as ourselves, to digest the recent events and allow the Synereo team to focus on delivering our product. He, and everyone else, is more than invited to rejoin us after the Holidays in a refreshed spirit of cooperation and friendship.

Synereo, despite recent turmoil, is in a good place as a company. We have attracted world class talent and have every intention of delivering on our promise. Several candidates for a new Chief of Technology are already being discussed; we have 3 full stack developers, 1.5 front-end developers, and additional engineers with rich backgrounds in math, economics and physics, rejoining the project.

Onboard with an enthusiastic and highly skilled team, freed from legacy constraints, and with a clear and achievable development plan, Synereo is determined to move forward to achieve the goals of our community and supporters.

We appreciate your attention,

-- The Synereo Team

In summary, you held a crowdfund to do one thing and suddenly decided to do another thing. "Screw who believed us, we changed our minds and we are not returning your money nor the project you bought!"

This is turning into a scam, Dor, and I believe everybody knows how correct the Synereo Team tries to work.

You need to open up the possibility for a refund for whoever requests among the investors/donators who participated in the crowdfund!

The market makes zero reaction to the news.

Why should it? At the moment we just got empty promises that they will deliver. We've been there before. It's still unclear what will happen next and how this soap opera will come to an end.

No hate, just talking about facts!

The market makes zero reaction to the news.

I dont follow synereo that closely but can someone explain what AMP has been going through and why is it significant for Greg to leave?

What about a refund and doing another crowdfund based on the new information, without Greg now ? Or at least let the community decide how much money of their Crowdfund Portfolio they want to invest in Greg and in Synereo.

Otherwise i mean this is really scammy to me since you knew already that there is a big dispute during the Crowdfund.

I invested a little in Synereo and have pretty much lost all my investment. I hope Synereo comes back to its glory days so I can recover it.

I'm not looking to invest anymore though just hope to recover my initial investment so I can put it into more disciplined projects.
