Think outside the box, there is much that can be done . You know if you do something truly innovative people are just gonna clone it. If you would like I could set up the Android tokens forums in a nicely structured way, I'd do it for $100.

This is the forum layout I used for the Colossuscoin forums http://107.170.4.50/index.php

Permissions set in a way in which guests can only post in the guest section with it being semi-restrictive

You could see the different permission levels by logging into the different member types and could adapt the layout for ADT

Namecoin and others use merge mining, there is also Proof of transaction, Devcoin uses mining to feed into a share release program for development. There is also auto checkpointing and auto update messaging, dark wave and Darksend. If you want to get further in, a % of fees can be re-routed into a managed fund for development, use of multi-signiture for security, passwords to send transactions, rolling blockchain to prune and keep at a consistently small size. You could use exchange apis to hook into the wallet for a decentralized exchange. You could even use destruction of coins within fees to feed back into Proof of stake to retarget for a fixed percent per year.

I know how to setup the forums I just haven't had the time to do it but it is on my list Smiley

That's why I said I'll do it for $100, I could use the extra cash and you wouldn't have to worry about spelling errors lol

I don't think POW is a good idea.  It will just devalue the coin.  Just up the stake to 1% for every 15 days is a better approach.  The ideas is to encourage people to keep coins in there wallet and not for asic owners to mine and dump.

it needs some pow to get threw the times when there is no pos blocks in the future when there are plenty of pos blocks we can totally remove pow Smiley

also 1% / 15 days would be nearly 30% a year and the majority of the ADT holders that talk to me don't want it over 5%

I have had loads of requests to change the ADT parameters what do you guys think of this ?

Current
POW 1 coin per block every 30s
POS 0.05% / 15 days

New
POW 1000 coins per block every 1 min ( will cut down on the stales and give a small incentive to mine ) will cause under 1 bill a year inflation
POS 0.15% / 15 days  ( will help encourage people to keep there wallets open and coins of exchanges ) will cause 3.6% a year inflation maximum

Notes
every 1,000,000 coins you hold would generate 1000 coins every 15 days instead of 500

Questions
would 0.1% / 15 days make you keep your coins of cryptsy and in your own wallet ?

there is a small amount of other things I am looking at Smiley

we can always make changes in the future if those don't work out well Smiley

I've been told that the HBN wallet is very memory hard because of the short staking period. I think you need to look at the longer term picture than just how inflation would come into play.

I suggested 15 days, and it's already 15 days.  Seems fine so far.

there is an absolutely crazy amount of things to thin about when changing anything that the general user doesn't think about

it is every 15 days lol what would you count as good POW parameters ? I would like to stay away from POW as much as possible as that opens up another huge list of things that can cause issues

my adt wallet stakes all day as I have so many tx  ( each tx will stake separately

Why not increase it permanently but only 2x? Surely that would keep lots of peeps happy??

I have been considering that Smiley

I didn't know it was 15 days currently.  I think the most important thing for ADT is incentive to keep coins in your wallet (off the exchange) and have the wallet open.  Increasing the stake % will help achieve this. I'd say at least 3% per year.  HBN has 2% every ten days and the price has been steadily increasing since January. We shouldn't copy HBN, but I want to show an increased stake % will be great for ADT.  I don't know what the sweet spot for ADT will be.  There are a lot of variables to think about. Maybe .8%-1% every 15 days?  Just throwing some numbers out there.

1% every 15 days would be 24% / year  HBN at 2% / 10 days is 73% / year I am willing to up it but extreme inflation wouldn't be good for the coin

how do all you guys feel about making the stake 4 X as much for the first 16 days after its fixed to compensate you guys that would mean if you have you coins off cryptsy you could get 2 lots of stake and get 1 lot of stake if you take your coins off cryptsy the first day its fixed

I would like to know if everyone is happy with the % that stake gives right now ( 1.2% a year )

there is also a demand to make POW worth mining again I don't think that's the best idea as there will be lots of scrypt asic soon but I am willing to do it if there is a good reason for doing so other than people making extra money

I don't think changing the stake 4x for 16days is worth the potential bugs that can occur.  I don't think 1.2% is enough for people to keep their wallets open (and their coins off exchanges) and I think it needs to be increased.  It would also be more appealing if the stake happened more than once a month (maybe .x% every 15 days for xx% per year in total.)  For example, I get stakes throughout the whole day on my HBN wallet so it makes you feel like your investment is paying off. Would staking more than once per month lead to more smooth and consistent block generation? I do think POW is worth looking into and if people want to run scrypt asic on ADT then great because it will help secure the network from attacks.  I don't know if pure POS is safer than hybrid, I don't have enough technical knowledge.

Self sufficiency is the aim of the game Zack and what you should do is start cloning yourself. I respect Ahmed and Mullick more so than any other coder around here but the problem is their interests are vested within their own projects so it costs alot to get them to help. You should learn how to code yourself and the easiest way is first learning how to clone coins and then on to adding and changing things within the existing code. If you want to learn, I've been compiling alot of resources within the Colossuscoin forums in the Development Team section which you still have access to. It's not going to cost you anything to do and we can help each other along the way.

coding is something I want to learn but I don't have time to Sad and I would rather have the coding done by someone that knows what they are doing as there is less likely to be issues

That is what testnet is for, you wouldn't have to worry about money so much. Just putting it out there, I want to see you guys do well.
