Gliss saying he will try to get Bens on coinmarketcap by tomorrow.

Sweet, this will help bring us some more attention and people will see how low the price is to get in

Dev Guy! (what the heck is your name man?), now that there is an explorer, several pools and exchanges, it is time to set up some DNS seeds and release a new client so that new users will have an easier time connecting to the network.

-Prayer

This can also be done when we release an update

Hi folks,

Does anyone know why my desktop client for Benjamins coins won't update?  I've been mining for a day now on the Pity The Pool! pool and although I am mining coins successfully, the QT client says 'no block source available' and that it's 3 weeks behind.  Thanks.

Use the list of addnodes

In Roaming/Benjamins (if you can't find this, search for %appdata% in start menu), make a .conf file called benjamins.conf and put this in:

Code:
rpcuser=x
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8080
server=1
gen=0

addnode=162.243.225.132
addnode=79.30.41.82
addnode=79.35.184.193
addnode=178.210.43.53
addnode=37.4.59.204
addnode=188.162.40.145
addnode=67.233.202.8
addnode=66.186.168.160
addnode=70.169.118.178
addnode=216.145.101.106
addnode=123.211.105.43
addnode=50.42.35.91
addnode=46.118.221.232
addnode=124.169.133.2
addnode=86.5.174.41
addnode=151.50.110.59
addnode=184.75.214.210

Then make a .bat in the same folder with your QT and in the .bat type this:

Code:
benjamins-qt -server

Then run the .bat to launch the QT (or you can put -server in the QT itself's parameters)

Hope this helps

When I first loaded this a couple weeks ago, I added every node listed in this thread, but was never able to get any peers.

I finally had to add a seed node to benjamins.conf

Code:
server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
rpcallowip=my.sub.net.*
rpcuser=SomeRandomUsername
rpcpassword=SuperSecretPassword
rpcport=8765
seednode=85.238.96.186

Hi folks,

I can only suggest trying what mine2slow posted:

See if that helps.

Missed a paragraph earlier

Quote from: Paysha.com
To be clear, Paysha is not an online wallet. We will not hold funds; we simply connect buyers and sellers, process the payment, verify it was a legitimate purchase, and forward it directly to the seller. This ensures that Paysha will not even have the chance to lose anyone's coins. This also makes sure that merchants don't have to worry about charge backs, because our system will verify the payment, and only notify the merchant when the money is on its way to them

Got a few answers for you

Quote from: Paysha.com
Vendors will have the option to accept 1, 2, 3, or 4 coins; that will be their decision. We will have support in place to assist those not familiar with virtual currencies, and we look forward to introducing new people to the scene, as well as promoting those already involved.

Prices will be calculated on our site. The merchants just put the dollar amount they want for their item or service, and the Paysha API will do the calculations for them in real time. Prices will most likely use Cryptsy since their API is the most stable for all 4 coins

There are a few unique things about Paysha that differ from other sites. First of all, there is NO MONTHLY FEE at all. There are no hidden fees whatsoever. If you aren't making sales, you don't have to pay a penny to use our site or services. We will be applying a flat 1% fee for all sales at launch, which may or may not change in the future. Our aim is to be competitive with other virtual currencies gateways while still beating both Visa and Mastercard with lower transaction fees to vendors (they typically charge between 1.8% and 4%, depending on volume)

The other selling point of Paysha is to get the community more involved. We would like to offer a finder's fee of sorts to anyone who gets a new merchant to sign up with their code. These will be free to anyone and everyone is invited to participate. Right now, we are thinking .01 BTC to the finder when their vendor processes their first $1000 of sales. Basically we are giving the finder the transaction fees for their first $1000 of transactions. Not only will this help US get more vendors and merchants signed up, but it will allow the community to be involved on the ground floor, as well as give them the ability to seek out merchants where THEY want to use virtual currencies, rather than those we think you want to use. All of this is, of course, subject to change, but that is our plan at the moment

If there are any other questions, feel free to forward them

I like them already, they also just round bitcoin to (bout a grand Wink ) currently. That is excellent news. I will have to keep an eye out for likely vendors to refer now also. A service like that with an easy option for vendors to accept benjamins is very exciting. With that sort of community focus I am already sure mining equipment merchants will be early adopters. I am liking what I am seeing for paysha so far. Normally with such a difficulty spike I would expect many to run to other coins, I think this will be another trend so many coins have fallen to that benjamins avoids.
