Hi Mux, Great Service!

You should add filters when searching for a rig to rent. As an example I would love to be able to see a list of rigs with greater than 3000kh/s at a given price.

Yes will do at some point -- but first I'm doing renter / rig owner contact -- working on it!

Could you add option that Rig owner can reply for renter's rate?

One guy rent my mining rig (i wrote 1450 kh/s) but it has 1.505 kh/s avg on 24h period). He rate me 7/10 and wrote that rig never get over 1300 kh/s. Since this time no one want to lease this rig:)

It would be nice if i can for example show him CG Miner status with 1505 avg.

Another good option: history for owners with name of rentier, payment status, total hours of rent etc:)

I'm having a problem with rig 313, it was working overnight as far as I know but I've switched pools this morning and I'm not getting anything from it. Could you have a check of it please?

Thanks

nocare Thanks for the review on my service.  I saw that you were getting about 7% rejects so I gave you a free hour to eat those up.  I usually hover at a way lower reject than that but I just wanted to make it fair for both of us

Rig #34 Minecraft ---)

Oh no worries, I found it pretty common with pool I was pointing at. Was a profit switching pool and I dropped .2 btc for the fun of it.
Overall I probably earned about 1/3 of what I spent back.

I think this service is great, but I probably will not use it again until I see a brand new coin I desire to just mine a ton of.

I found betarigs to be a really cool service. I got to experience what it is like to be the top hasher on a pool. My personal rig is my mining rig.
A single ati 7970, which hashes pretty decently at full intensity, but isn't viable when I actually choose to use my pc to do pc things.

3 of my rigs are mining backup pools even though they are rented out, is there an issue with the service at the moment?

My leased rig says it's been mining for 10+ mins but isn't mining at all. All pool details are correct.

http://www.betarigs.com/rig/293

Edit: Nope. Nothing. Other miner that just payment confirmed just came on straight away. rig 293 is clearly not working at all. Site seems fine. Problem is with rig. Can I please have lease cancelled and refunded asap. Hasn't mined a single hash.

Site had a hickup a think. You were not able to rent anything, all listed Offline. Now back to normal.

That would explain it. It just came online. Hope I get that time back.

I added an hour on each machine for you

One thing I noticed after listing my rig and selecting 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours for contracts.  When a renter sees that it defaults to 3 hours.  If they are not paying attention they might only assume it is for 3 hours and not up to the whole day.  I'd rather see it listed in descending order or maybe even a radial button selection showing what all is available to the renter.

In my rig description I listed the hours I am available for rent but not sure if everyone will notice that drop down box.

Just a thought.

So far so good with my rentals.  Thanks for a great service.

Quick question on extending the rent duration.

Can I extend the rent duration by 30 minutes by putting 0.5 hours in the field or is meant for whole numbers only?

AND...
Let's say a person rents my rig for 3 hours and he puts in an unstable pool.

The rig mined for 2 hours and the pool was down for 1 hour.

Will I be paid for 2 hours or 3 hours?

Thanks

Yes you can extend by 0.5 hour.
And your rig is not responsible for an unstable pool, it's the renter choice and responsibility -- you get paid full.

I received my payment, re-enabling my rig for rent in a few mins Smiley

Its called p2pools its perfectly normal

Ok, as long as you're happy  Smiley

p2pools have low accept rate and high rejects but works the same.  They just uses the calculations differently to find the blocks.  With a decentralized pool.

"P2Pool creates a new block chain in which the difficulty is adjusted so a new block is found every 10 seconds. The blocks that get into the P2Pool block chain (called the "share chain") are the same blocks that would get into the Bitcoin block chain, only they have a lower difficulty target"

Understood. Unfortunately as providers all we see is our rigs change to mining at a something.rigs.eu.betarigs.com address, so we have no idea what the underlying pool is set to. Glad we were able to clear it up!

Renter UNOE111

I've tried IRC to see if you were on there, but no luck, so I hope that you see this here.

Currently you are renting HashMaster9 and it's mining a difficulty 9 coin. I don't know which pool you're using, but the pool's Vardiff implementation is setting insane work difficulty requirements for a coin with such low difficulty and fast block times:

 [15:12:19] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 4019.481559
 [15:12:22] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 7189.504934
 [15:12:24] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 10296.367546
 [15:12:31] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 2549.084913
 [15:12:36] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 5240.731769

There's just no way without incredible luck that such high work difficulty levels can be met when blocks are taking 5-7 seconds to solve. This is leading to very high reject levels and a low work utility vs hash rate. Please either contact the pool's operators and ask them to fix their Vardiff, or look for a better pool to mine the coin. I hate to see the rental time being wasted like this  Sad

They are all mining potcoin  Wink

The least the pool could do is set the max work difficulty to 420 .

Likewise renter KableKiB on my rig.

Vardiff is far too high meaning no shares are being found before new block restart is requested.  I believe you have changed pool as everything was running fine earlier.
