Hi guys,
I'm running a VRC wallet (Version ) for staking:

Quote
{
    "version" : "v1.7.2.0",
    "protocolversion" : 70012,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : xxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
    "newmint" : 0.00000000,
    "stake" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 2394281,
    "timeoffset" : 0,
    "connections" : 4,
    "proxy" : "",
    "ip" : "x.x.x.x",
    "difficulty" : {
        "proof-of-work" : 132.57598028,
        "proof-of-stake" : 0.15231453
    },
    "networkweight" : 13131779.84980617,
    "inflationrate" : 2.27711830,
    "interestrate" : 4.63883964,
    "blocksperhour" : 58,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1484679546,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00010000,
    "mininput" : 0.00000000,
    "unlocked_until" : 0,
    "errors" : ""
}

But whenever I run "vericoind listaddressgroupings", vericoin crashes with a segfault:

Quote
kernel: [1003963.940052] vericoin-rpchan[7566]: segfault at 28 ip 0000000000572394 sp 00007fdb07ffdb80 error 4 in vericoind[400000+334000]

Anyone having the same (or a similar) problem or know how to solve the issue?

Is there a bootstrap for Verium available?
The sync is kinda slow Tongue

File > Reload Blockchain and click conf

This will download the latest bootstrap which is updated every hour or so

You can also download it directly here > https://cdn.vericonomy.com/bootstrap_VRM.zip

Forgot to check back here, but went to slack and got the same help in under a minute. The reload and syncing took about 1 minute and im now live. Thanks Smiley

Gosh will Vericoin ever break ATH against bitcoin again?!

Crazy to think it got up to $2.50 during the btc run up in late 2017, so that fund thing that was tied in with superNET got released then right? Thought I remember it was when vrc got to $1?....or maybe it was 100k sats?

what the hell is coinegg exchange?

dang man 549 on CMC.....unreal how much the crypto industry has changed....maybe one day these pure no ico/no premine POS coins will make a comeback?....hard when other coins can ICO and get 10mil+ to use right off the bat.

Wondering why verium and vericoin clients are missing the addnode command. Those 2 doesnt even try to connect to any hosts listed in .conf. vericoin.info is the only node in peers.dat file and its down - so no new miners allowed inside.
What do you mean? Can you post your conf file? Are you on the most up-to-date client? Click node list next to 1.7.1: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/#!network and try forcing using connect= and see if you get connections. If not, it could be a firewall issue.

Who wants some free Verium?
I've decided to not mine Verium anymore, it's too memory hungry

Before you judge me from the password, it's that I changed it.

It's ok, go to the website anyways. Firefox and Chrome let you

From what I've read it was designed that way to prevent giving advantage to gpus and to prevent mining bots, but there are other good reasons why you should try other coins instead of Verium if all you have is a CPU.

I bought VeriCoin for 2$, now staking, but I have a lost of money by investing into Vericoin Sad
by investing gambling

Wait for the next wave of greater fools. I thought PoW coins would be relatively stable from a price perspective compared to PoS coins or premined tokens, as miners incur real costs to generate new coins. Well, most of PoW coins are still in the lengthy period of high inflation.
High inflation+fading gambling interest+low liquidity on Bittrex=you already feel the consequences.
Yes I bet on VRC 6 weeks ago and it is only down 34% (to btc) for that period. What is much more disturbing is when looking at the history chart for the past 12 months, there are 5 instances of pump and dumps and 0 periods of sustained growth.

You're right, and looking at the roadmap it has not had an update since November of last year I wonder what the status of development is, is it still ongoing?

Hello VeriCoin believers,

Our aim is to add value to the whole crypto community by giving the best user experience to analyse cryptocurrencies.

It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful interface of VeriCoin at: https://cointopper.com/coin/vericoin

Constructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper.  Thank you!!
