Your shipping history is confirmed to be of very high standards. So I would not mind preorders.

In fact it might even be a better option. It would allow me to be prepared for setting up the miners (calculating energy, space and cooling needed to run them). Few h-boards can be set up in no time, but even medium-large order takes some time to get online.

Maybe half stock as preorders and other half as "off the shelf" shipping when ready?

Hello and please accept my apologies for radio silence. The boards that we received are running quite hot, and I decided that we cannot sell them without heatsinks. We've also been extremely busy building a mine here in Finland for a very big private customer while we wait for heatsinks for the new boards. The heatsinks have been in production for some time now. First the custom 150kg heavy tool is being manufactured from steel, then we will have a test extrusion (should happen next week) and then we go into full production. So I would say in about 2-3 weeks time we should be able to start shipping a safe product.

I'll try to find time to list the new boards and some RedFury USB sticks we have up on the site later today or tomorrow. I'm also doing my best to get some old H-cards delivered so we can ship them to you.

Regarding chips, it's looking grim. Chips are currently in wirebonding, and should be ready soon, but these have nearly all been sold already. I might have a few chips available in late november to early december. I hope to get some more reels and trays into the shop by mid-december, but cannot promise anything. Please keep this in mind when designing your own boards.

Do you think it's a good idea to do preorders on this new hardware or should I list it on the site when they're ready to ship?

In this moment price below 300$ are mission impossible. Bitfury chip cost in 3000 piece reel 20$ per chip. 16x20$ =320$ for one board.
I'm open for any form help/cooperation. If anybody have access to cheaper asic I can assembly it.

I would be interested in up to 16 h-boards. But the price is a bit high, around $299 would be a much nicer number.

That's excellent. I am only building 2 boards to practice. That is why they want relaxed specifications. Would surely want to buy boards from you if they would be available quickly

are you planning to sell H boards to the public?

Maybe problem is C-Scape use metric on design ?
My PCB producer accept without any comment h-board design. I have a meeting in fab tomorrow afternoon (Thursday).  From the initial quotation conclude that the cost of production and assembly will be attractive.
The main problem is the availability and price of Bitfury chips. No reel in EU shop

Thats strange.. Punin personally sent me my tracking numbers for my chips on ordering.

DHL called me today and arranged delivery for tomorrow. I guess they have my chips because I'm not waiting for anything else delivered by DHL. Next time I'd prefer receiving tracking number from BFSB before delivery.

In may cases for OCed chips (0.86V) best start with little airflow after PCB get 40-45 ^oC start cooling.  DC-DC conveter need cooling from the start. It is difficult to reconcile these two requirements. I use independent heatsink for DC-DC conv that take 30% available PCB space.
If I start with very cold air, I must restart miner few times for get stable 41-42Gh from board. I think about write little application that run from crontab and will adjust the fan speed depending on the chip  temperature.

In summary, from my experiment  best result I get when PCB stay in  40-45 ^oC, they like to be warm but not hot.

How long does it take for the chips to ship? Will I receive a tracking number?

What are your experiences on how the October 400 GH/s units respond to temperature changes? Is lower generally better? Is there some kind of sweet-spot? Or does the temperature not matter as long as it's below critical (chips melting )?
