This reminds me of URO. Reading the ANN I get the same distinguished feeling that someone is trying to scam the shit out of people.

Chris, you may better to add an instruction "how you can transfer your BTC to OPEN.BTC inside OpenLedger account".

Cheers.

It's automatic!

If you send BTC to an "Open.btc" address, it's actually a BTC address.  Openledger prevents their reserves from being attacked by taking any tokens sent online and issuing "open" versions instead.  That way if someone attacks the "Open" tokens, they aren't actually able to touch the real tokens.

"Open" in front of a token just means the "Openledger" version of that token, as you'll see "Open.eth", "Open.btc", etc...

We may change the wording around that soon, but I hope that explains it.

Open.btc = btc

Cheers!

Tempting project. Hm, can we buy land with our CADS?  Smiley

The goal is not that people will be "buying" the land, but holders of Cadastrals will be entering development contracts with locals that are backed by the government and registered on a blockchain.  The goal is to have a method of micro-lending, and also the natural mortgage lending and equity system that comes with having registered land titles, as credit in Ghana and most of Africa is impossible due to not having an "address" to legally hold someone responsible to.

In addition, the problem with selling land to foreigners is that in the past, governments will displace large groups of people in order to open up land, and then "sell it" to investors after they essentially just stole it.  In order to prevent this type of displacement, the idea is that foreign investors would be able to invest in development, get an agreed upon ROI with the party issuing the contract, and that way the locals can still live on their land, benefit from the development, and their local economy will grow due to the new influx of capital and resources.  The investors get their ROI with government oversight and transparency through the blockchain.

So it is about more than "buying land".  It is about making sure that the development is fair, free of corruption, and the long term solution is reducing the violent conflicts while simultaneously developing the country.  This way development doesn't become a matter of "charity", and investors can actually help developing countries accelerate through the process, be guaranteed to see their return, and make something tangible.

I hope this gives more insight into what the goal of Cadastrals is.

Cheers!

It may be simple however, somehow not easy to catch up to me yet - how investors will get a profit in advance.

Let's say, I send 1BTC to OpenLedger/Bitland today, what kind of story I can imagine in future?

I feel more likely donation... that's okay though. Wink

Well, since we are still in Phase 1, if you get in now at 10,000 Satoshi, when the Phase 2 price of 30,000 Satoshi is the standard, you are pretty much sitting at X3 already.  I would HOPE the people who get in at 30,000 Satoshi wouldn't sell themselves short and sell below what they bought in at.

But, like I said...it's still Phase 1 Wink

Cheers!

Chris

Thank you Chirs, I was just watching your 22min video@netexpo on your bitlan.world.

X3 is not enough for me, I will hold until your phase 10 come but before the 99yrs.  Wink

"This project is not about the land, it's about people live on the land." - that's what you said? - really beats me.

Now, I study OpenLedger to drop my BTC.

Keep up Chris!! Go BitLand!!

Cheers.

if bitland make the same for brasil i will buy more....

I think Ghana is a pilot and not restricted to Ghana or even Africa. If it is successful, more will follow Smiley

And it's more than just Factom, Bitland also creates the infrastructure (hardware like GPS, WiFi and did I read about drones? And of course the software).

It doesn't automatically remove the .00004403 Open.btc fee, so you have to subtract that from the send amount.

I hope that clears it up!

Cheers!
