How long until we can buy these?
Seems that info is in OP?
Thanks, missed that!

We will open the sales of S3 in about 3 days on BITMAINTECH.COM, and the early batch is expected to be delivered very soon

With regard to an S2 upgrade, I was under the impression it would be low cost (ie new firmware or new power supply)

Would it involve replacing the boards?  Doesn't sound low cost.

Can't imagine replacing S1 blades would be cheap either relative to buying an S3 outright.

Am I thinking about this correctly?

Yes, the boards would have to be change, otherwise people would be putting bigger batteries and changing the firmware in speak and spells and getting 50ph/s.

I'm guessing (hoping) they'll quickly release an "S4" that will be the same as the S2, but with upgraded chips @ 1.8-2Th/s.

Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release a U3 edition of the USB miners.

Great news. Loving that you distribute your hardware to "small" miners instead of renting helicopter hangars in cheap power locations as others do  Roll Eyes

Any news on a successor to the U2 USB miner, the U3?   Wink

Soon, I guess. The U3 will be using the new BM1382 chip.

Probably will hash around the hr of 1 BM1382 (which is 15GH/s)?

I don't think so, the Chip needs by 15 GH/s to much power, but I think 5 - 8 GH/s with one USB miner (One Chip) are possible!?

Mine Mine Mine
PRICE is the deciding factor & also early adopter like BITMAIN themselves quoted. we shall wait & see.

it will also be great if BITMAIN improves S&H to prevent DOA miners.

also if BITMAIN have an option in their site for CUSTOMERS to put in "Special Requests" (Reasonable requests or maybe a pre-set drop down menu) for TAX or VAT purposes such as not the full value or mention it as DIY Kit for computer accessories. etc...

so far it is impressive i MUST say. Let's hope it outperforms the quoted specs.

if pricing is competitive, sign me up for 5 !

Awesome I will defiantly be purchasing one! Hope fully it will have a decent price point for ROI.

Isn't that the wrong way round? Smiley Or you used "hopefully" instead of "if"
