Interesting thread you have there about Bittrex, got to say there are lots of allegations against them. I will be posting there but agree with your advice about warning people to stay away from that exchange.

A friend of mine fell victim of Bittrex scammers: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/warning-yet-another-scam-by-the-shady-bittrex-exchange-5270691
Stay away from this scam exchange!

thats exactly what happened with alot of us from who were original users from 2014. Overnight they blocked access to withdrawals (but we could still trade, whats that about!?).
They would not allow us to close our and accounts and leave with our property. its another example of how regulations have enabled these types of AML/KYC scams to grow and prosper. Established scams like Bittrex can now always hide behind their AML/KYC policies and deny people their funds.
hopefully a nice class action against them one day when the extent of the abuse and how they have profited from their AML/KYC polices is fully revealed   Angry

have you got this email too?

How long has DOGE been offline?  I believe I tried to withdraw some about 2 or 3 weeks ago and today I find it's also offline.

I read in pages back in this thread they implemented AML/KYC without notification and used it as an excuse to withhold funds from users that did not want to continue with Bittrex. Those that did not send KYC were blocked (as you say) from withdrawing funds. If there ever was a class lawsuit against them it would be revealed exactly how much they stole from users that were not given notice of the AML/KYC policy and were not allowed to withdraw funds either.

Sorry to read about your funds being stolen by Bittrex. How much did you lose?

When I try to sell 2.04529831 OMG I get en error: "Please enter a quantity of 2.09257554 or greater"
WTF??? 2.04529831 OMG  is ₿0.00076522 > 0.0005 btc.

Haven't logged into bittrex in long time because they didn't allow ny users anymore even though im outside the us.  I had submitted my information a long ago with my ny documents.  But how is bittrex now for us users?  Still no ny users allowed right?
US Citizens are not the only people which was blocked from using Bittrex. You might want to check if your Country was part of the additional Countries which was restricted by Bittrex global

What do you mean "ny users"? I dought that they don't accept new users, as long as you pass their KYC/ AML procedures...

Ethereum did the same thing, so many people use this forum as a platform to kick-start their careers, projects and businesses but in the end most of them move off the forum after get rich or they make a name for themselves.

He last logged in to the forum on 4th March 2020, he would probably not be replying to anything even if he did read your post. His last post was in 2017 in a different thread:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19916025

I saw that so I figure that he would answer. I guess I was wrong. Sad
IMO it's very "bad" (I don't want to use other words for the moment) to stop replying to the users/ members of a community that brings you to "life". Without members of the forum and the community in general, would not even exist... So that's it, now that they have become "big-shots" they have forgotten where they (all) came/ start from? Embarrassed

Even Bittrex-Bill the Bittrex representative in the forum last posted in 2017 so do not expect anything from Bittrex:

The are tactics and techniques to scam users, nothing else. They dress it up using various words and sentences but they are just playing with words to steal.

You are right, it is a strategy that almost every company/ exchanger uses if they want to lock down funds. So I was expected OP to reply here and explain a bit.

I have a couple of questions:
1. This seizure of funds is applicable only for US citizens or for everyone? Because I didn't get an e-mail regarding any kind of frozen funds or wallets.
2. These funds are unclaimed tokens? And if yes, then how on Earth can somebody freeze something that it is unclaimed? Undecided
3. I only read the last page and it's near two months that members post regarding this issue and OP doesn't post a word. They don't care anymore to reply here, on their thread?

Do we have any statistics showing exactly how much they have allegedly given to the government since they implemented this tactic and to which government they gave funds to?

How can anybody take Boittrex seriously when all this sounds ridiculous, it seems they want to seize funds and not return them under any any excuse - usually KYC failing.

It says they were going to give them to the government? lol.... What government is holding unclaimed shittokens for people? The thought is laughable.  Grin Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Sketchy.

You are selling me coins that you are not allowing me to sell on your exchange because you triple the requirement
after you sell them.  That's unethical behavior.

I bought Numinaire from you two times and held the coin now am told I cannot make a profit from it because I need 3x the amount
I have to sell it.  Why allow us to buy it from you if we cannot trade it?

Sorry I missed this post otherwise would have replied earlier.

I think it is wrong for them to use this or any other tactic to seize funds. Does anybody know what they intend to do with funds they seize?

Thank you for the update. Whether it is related to "logins" or "trading" surely they have to send an email to you before they seize your balance. Did they not even send one to you yet?

They haven't actually. Since they enforced KYC, I've only received a couple of emails regarding wallet removals.
