Ok guys, we need to get BTQ more exposure. So what can we do to get more people interested in BitQuark??

More infrastructure, ways to earn/spend it and more news/marketing.  Very few people (comparatively speaking) use Bitcoins let alone any of the 300+ altcoins out there including BTQ.

More and more mainstream merchants are beginning to adopt bitcoin technology, but right now it's still all speculation and lately all the news about bitcoin is bad (price drops, ponzi, MtGox, hacks, etc.) so even interest in Bitcoin is dropping for the average person.

Right now there are only two ways to get bitcoins, either buy them on an unregulated exchange or mine them.  The only way to get an altcoin (BTQ or any of the others) is to mine, or buy bitcoins and trade down for an altcoin, so again, too much work for the average person and the only people into it are tech heads or speculative investors who don't care about the coin or helping to change the world from fiats to digital currencies, just about quick profits.

Sounds bleak, I know...but that's reality.

Ask yourself this, what can I buy with bitcoins or even bitquarks that I can't already buy with the $50 bucks I have in my pocket?  How easy is it to buy a pack of smokes with bitquark versus dollars?  How easy is it to earn dollars vs. how easy is it to earn bitquark?

Now from a miners point of view, it's free money.  Maybe a little, maybe a lot depending on the profitability of the coin and electricity costs.  From a speculative traders point of view it's quick money, maybe a little, maybe a lot depending on the profitability of the coin.  But still from the average Joe's point of view, it's a mission to do anything with these coins.

We need people to want BTQ.  We need people to say, "damn I wish I had some BTQ."  Until hookers start giving BJ's for BTQ (*cough* mobile wallet *cough*) just keep on doing grass roots, spreading the good word and building up the infrastructure.

* Publish new feeds and press releases (google free press releases)
* Ask your friend who owns a restaurant/bar to put up a sign that says "BTQ promotion - small fry for only 7 BTQ
* Give 10 BTQ to your best buddy for his birthday
* Call a few businesses and ask if they accept BTQ
* Get it on more exchanges
* Get more retailers to accept it
* Make some videos like EBT, Quark, Bitcoin
* Put up some faucet sites that anyone can use

The coin seems well built, the coin dev is very active.  Keep having faith and remember it took Bitcoin 3 years to get where they are with no competition and if it hadn't been for the Silk Road they'd never be this popular.

This is a cool little add-on for any GPU miner. It controls you cards from overheating and give all kinds of cool stats and best of all its FREE!! You can download it here >>> http://coinmyne.com/software/cgwatcher/
just add --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1 to your cgminer or sgminer command line

oh kool that's awesome! I will add a link on bitquark.info
It's been 4 hours! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! LOL!!!  Hmmm, on second thought, there are errors popping up on that site. It appears to not quite be ready for prime time, but the concept is great! I hope they can work out the bugs quickly. We need this!

No, seriously, this is exactly what you were saying earlier about markets entirely separate from fiat currencies, users assigning the value and forcing, er, uh, "letting", yeah that's it, "letting" exchanges get in line after the fact. This needs to go up right away. Your menu bar is getting cramped for space. May be time to consider some javascript flyout menus.

You should also be updating the news links more regularly. I would slide the tweet window up in place of the news panel on the home page and put that content on the News page. Another 0.02 BTQ.

Wow! 2 whole BitQuark! This should give everyone some sort of idea how BTQ value stacks up against other cryptos.

2 BTQ...that's about $80 USD right?  Grin Wink

oh kool that's awesome!

I had a chance to test their great work on simple inflation coin and it is outstanding,

have not had a chance to test my sole 7970 on the 'quark' family yet, so your coin looks like a great choice..... cheers....

Yes BTQ is a quark algorithm coin. I've been solo-mining with sg miner and I'm knocking out around 100 - 150 blocks a day @ 7Mh/s
