before I say what I'm about to say I want to make it clear that this isn't fud, not at all. I'm currently holding almost 3000 crave and 4000 blur, and I originally bought that initial crave for a lot more than it's trading for today, and I'm still very much interested in seeing this succeed but the more I look at all the evidence, the more skeptical I become.
Believe me, I believe in the idea here. I'm reasonably invested in both Crave as well as Shadowcash, so you get where I'm coming from. I'm a die-hard libertarian and I believe in the revolution that the anonymous market idea provides. I believe it so much that I think there's nothing else more important than seeing an authentically decentralized anonymous marketplace succeeding.
Here's my issue. When I read back at everything that ICM has posted, I feel like he's simply padding his resume here. I see him building significant altcoin developer cred, but there's little else other than that. When I read back on his twitter thread I read him plugging such shitcoin as Molly, Tron & fucking $Nanas for christsake. What this tech needs is an impassioned dev. For the job at hand, building this system requires a commitment to the revolution. It needs DPR-level passion driving the development. Now granted, ICM has to earn a living, and likely has some interest in these shitcoins, but this is not the behavior I would expect from a dedicated developer on a coin that we all hope should be so revolutionary.
I'm seriously concerned about the markets. I'm half expecting them to be all 'spit & polish'... to look great, but not have much substance behind it, and when I say 'substance' I mean that the only value this development will ever achieve is if an established DNM operator assumes business within the markets, and I see nothing here suggesting that we're achieving a trusted interface for said DNM operator to feel completely comfortable with. The trust needs to be obvious, that there's no question that absolute anonymity has been achieved. That's the only way that this would ever succeed.
That's my 2 cents anyway. I'm just concerned. Take it for what you will.
Hey man. Nice to see you posting honest concerns.
I can understand what you are feeling and thinking, I truely am. Lets compare other coins development to CRAVE. Almost every successful coin has a bunch of developers behind it. As for as we know, ICM is working on this solo and made this all happen again, solo. Everyone that is reasonable enough can see the impact CRAVE did on altcoins. When was it the last time a coin launched had so much interest that in 2 months numerous (like more than 100) clones of it released? Was it DRK? I guess so.
We are at very early stage of CRAVE development. Some people said the markets should take months to code, so what does this tell you? I feel like ICM was working on this idea long before he released CRAVE. And with the first releases being increadibly fast, we can assume that they were already ready to release. This is why I am not concerned about the timeframe (please note that he didn't give any specific time for the release anyway) and I still can make good income with opearating my MN's, by income I mean more CRAVE as even though I already ROId, I won't sell my CRAVE, never.
A month ago I thought to myself, hey, why the hell should ICM keep working on this? He didn't make a ICO with lots of BTC, he didn't have a premine and as far as we know he doesn't hold any CRAVEs (he mentioned this and you can easily see he sold the donations he got). I also knew or kinda felt that he was fixing bugs on other coins and that is totally understandable as you suggested too, he needs to earn a living. As long as he works on the markets whenever he has free time, I am perfectly fine with that. Nobody is giving him sallary nor nobody actually paid him bunch of ICO btc to perform the roadmap. Even with this conditions I strongly think he has dedicated himself to the project. Lots and I mean LOTS of "developers" run away even with the ICO money, not the mention ninja launches. It's been three months and he has been here answering questing, getting into technical discussion and avoiding fud/price discussion.
As for markets having no substance behind them, we will be the ones who report bugs/missing things, nothing can be released perfect. We will have to use it and give feedbacks to improve the experience.
