Man if you search back I had the same trouble. It is not the risers it is the psu. It can't handle the load even if it is a 1200w. It just this line is poor it is made for harddisks not gpus. You should get cheap non USB risers and get the power from the pci-e of the board and you will have no issue. The problem of the USB powered risers is that they are fine if the cards has external molex for power. The USB risers don't get power from the psi-e , that is why you have problems. If you try a scrypt coin or scrypt n with cudaminer you will have the problem very fast cause it uses much more power.

As I've learned lately the capacity of the PSU is not the issue, it's about how that capacity is being divided over the rails.
Your 1100w Coolermaster PSU has 6 x 12V rails, 20-22A each which means each rail can output a maximum of 120-132W. So the only way to pull anywhere near 1100W is to use all the rails (Molex/SATA/GPU) together.

Guitarplinker's Rosewill HIVE 750W PSU has only one rail (54A) which means he can pull up to 648W even if he only uses the SATA ports.

Same reason I had to replace my EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650G (4 x ~20A 12V rails) PSUs for XFX Core Edition PRO650W (1 x 53A 12V single rail)

That's a major regarding PSU for mining rigs: never use multi-rail ones.

I also use TeamViewer, but only connect it to Rig when its needed. The card plugged in the monitor loses some hashpower with TeamViewer connected.

And the miner just crashed again.   Angry Looks like it's time to start swapping out risers to see if one of them is the culprit for these crashes.

What algo/settings you're trying to mine?
I'm trying to mine Jackpotcoin.

My config looks something like this:

ccminer.exe -a jackpot -o POOLURL:PORT -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD
pause

I just let CCMiner autoconfigure the cards. It submits anywhere from 100 shares to 170 shares (so about 5 minutes of working) before freezing up, usually.

@Zels thanks for the link! I'll have to look into that if I do switch to Linux.

Well after switching the risers, it looks like I might have possibly found the bad one - the machine has been mining for longer than usual. It's submitted 250+ shares instead of crashing at 170 or so.  Cool

I haven't tried Linux yet, but I suppose that's worth a shot. I'd prefer to keep Windows, but if it comes down to it I'll definitely test Linux on it to see if that works. I use TeamViewer quite a bit on my miners through Windows and I don't think it's supported in Linux.

Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus is the casing, no? I got the same one. As for the problem, can't really help you with that, but have you tried linux as OS?
It's actually a Rosewill Thor V2 case. They must be quite similar though!

I haven't tried Linux yet, but I suppose that's worth a shot. I'd prefer to keep Windows, but if it comes down to it I'll definitely test Linux on it to see if that works. I use TeamViewer quite a bit on my miners through Windows and I don't think it's supported in Linux.

Now that I have one card connected directly in the board through the 16x slot, I get no display through that card.  Embarrassed I've let the PC sit for about 10 minutes or so now, restarted it a couple times as well and it's displaying nothing. Look at the last line, video works! It was just a mistake that I had made.

All the cards (both directly on the board and on risers) are connected to 16x slots on the board itself.

So now I'll try to figure out how to get video displaying on this card. This motherboard has given me so many issues, nothing seems to work well with it at all. Ah well, maybe sometime I'll treat myself to something better.

Maybe try not to put 3 cards on 1 cable.

I'll try that as well right now, and put two on one, and one on the other cable. I'll get back to you guys again in a few minutes.

@bathrobehero I'll test the risers too, and see if certain configurations change anything.

EDIT: It appears that now the miner is working. It's been running longer than it usually does now with no crashing, so that's definitely a good sign. The no video output was my own mistake - I have two miners connected to a single monitor, and one of them was off while I was testing this one. I forgot to switch outputs to the miner that was having issues, which was why it "wasn't displaying output."

So now it's just a waiting game, to see if it crashes in the next few minutes.

Oh, thanks. I was told otherwise.

Could be the risers. I had 2 cards (in different rigs) which kept crashing even with very low overclock then I replaced the risers on them and now they can take just as much OC as the rest.

As far as I know your main card (the one you connect to the monitor) should not be on a riser.

It can be, mine is...
But I suggest to plug the monitor to a GPU connected to a x16 slot.

EDIT: I could not manage to make USB risers to work, I'm using ribbon non-powered ones.
The difference is that I use a Asrock Pro BTC MOBO that have 2 extra molex to power the PCI-E slots.

I'm using powered USB 3.0 risers (1x to 16x) purchased from PoweredRisers.com.

I'm having some issues with CCMiner/Windows, and wondering if you guys can try and help me out.

So here's my setup:
Sempron 145 @ Stock (2nd core not unlocked, everything is stock)
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Motherboard
8 GB RAM
4x MSI 750 Ti
Rosewill HIVE 750W PSU

The cards are all on risers. I've made sure that none of the risers are dead. Also, all the cards are connected via molex connectors for power to the risers. 3 are on one of the cables directly to the PSU, and the last molex connector is on a different cable directly to the PSU, not sure if this could be the culprit.

Anyway, the problem I've been having is that when I start CCMiner, it mines great for a few minutes, but after about 5 minutes or so, everything on Windows freezes, the screen freezes exactly how it is, the mouse/keyboard don't do anything and I need to shut the PC off by holding the power button.

I downclocked the cards a little bit and that seemed to fix the problem, after I downclocked one of the cards to -50/-50. I'd be unhappy if the card wasn't able to run stock speeds while mining, but it seems that doing that has prevented my "freeze" crashing.

So then the other problem I've been having since then is that after downclocking the cards, it appears to run fine but after a few minutes, the display driver crashes. I haven't seen it crash yet, but if I let the PC run, then come back awhile later I see that 3 of the cards are at 540MHz while mining, and one of them doesn't even show up in EVGA PrecisionX. Like, PrecisionX sees that there are four cards in the system, and names three of them as GTX 750 Ti's. The fourth one doesn't have a name, and it shows a clock speed of 0/0 in PrecisionX.

Some things I've tried:
-Using Windows 8.1 as my OS - didn't do anything
-Using Windows 7 as my OS - didn't do anything
-Using the latest NVIDIA drivers - no noticeable change, still crashes
-use older 335 NVIDIA drivers released earlier in 2014 - no changes, still crashes
-Swap PCI-e slots for the video cards - no changes at all

So I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas of what might be causing my issues.

Oh and also, the last (and minor compared to all the other) issue that I've been having is that when I try to close CCMiner while mining, the system freezes up for a couple seconds, then my display goes blank and comes back. It seems the NVIDIA drivers are crashing whenever I close CCMiner.

Any help would be appreciated and I'm willing to try what you guys think would solve this issue.

Please do not upgrade AMD miner hashrate. Talkcoin was good for NVIDIA until "someone" double AMD hashrate. If really need to improve AMD hashrate , 1 month after launch will be ideal. AMD miner is like ASIC. Updating ASIC hashrate is generally a bad idea.
There isn't much to expect (or to fear) from this upgrade, it doesn't use groestl. For example on qubit the orignal qubit and the multikernel one have practically the same performance (may-be 1mega/h higher...) so if there are renting at starts, I am afraid it won't make much difference for the nvidia user...
