What happends with your speed, you are slowing down?
Can I help you with anything?

I've got massive instability issues on 6 of my 9 rigs.  I'm trying like crazy to keep them running but they just won't fold more than a few hours without manual intervention.  I've underclocked my GPU's to their lowest settings and they still will not run stable.  I've got six different computers that are having this issue and each of them are running two 290X TRIX cards.  Of the three remaining machines two of them are running the same GPU's.  I've got a list a mile long of all the things I've tried to get things stable and so far none have shown any improvement.  I'm still working on it.

I've got a long thread going in the F@H forum and so far everything tried has made no difference.  It may not be fixable.  All the machines that have issues are using EVGA Z87 Classified motherboards so I've got a thread going there now as well.  I'm suspecting a BIOS setting or something but I have no idea.  I'll also start a thread on the AMD forum about it as soon as I get more time.

I've clocked all the GPU's back to much faster speeds  (core 940, memory 1200) but still slower than their default clocks.  So my overall PPD should rise again but it will fluctuate a lot due to the massive instability.  I would love to get this running properly though because my time around the machines is getting more and more limited so downtime when it happens will be longer.

I'll try to offset the longer downtime by scheduling forced restarts of the computers at set intervals.  Unfortunately the driver issues makes Windows so unstable I don't know if they will be able to restart on their own consistently.  It usually requires me to hit the reset button.  In any event, I'll still trying to get things running properly.

I've been so buried trying to keep things running and working I haven't even had time to post or sleep.  lol  On that note...  I'm going to have some beers!   Grin

What about your environment, heat? We have experienced a ridiculous effect. It's no science behind it. Our riggs have dual PSU's(4 GPU's) so there are double power cords to the rig, if we placed the cords directly on the outside of the rig we did experienced massive instability, then we did move the power cords under the rig, the rig turned out to be stable again !!! Crazy but on two different locations we saw the same effect.

Something for you to try out  Grin

Thanks Aboy68!  Yeah for some reason my combination of hardware just doesn't like folding.  The ambient temperature in the room is 75F.  The GPU temps never hit 80C and the CPU temps never get above 50C (they are all liquid cooled).  In that area I've got three dedicated 20 AMP circuits and there are two machines on each circuit.  They should have amble power available to them.

What I find particularly frustrating is that these same machines in the same configurations ran for weeks unattended while Scrypt mining at a much higher power draw than they are running at now.  They were stable while Scrypt mining and won't run more than a few hours while folding.  It is just bizarre but we have to play the hand we are dealt so-to-speak.

That power cord scenario you mentioned is crazy!  lol  Sometimes I think our machines just love to irritate us!  I'm still trying to figure out what is going on.  I got some good suggestions from the EVGA group.  They are suggesting overvolting the GPU's to see what happens.  If that doesn't work it was suggested to try single plug power cables rather than split power cables coming from the PSU to the GPU.  I'll try it!  I've tried literally everything else!

The F@H support group seems to be running out of ideas now though.  They seem to want me to try an experimental build of Ubuntu.  I know nothing about Ubuntu but if I need to go that route then I'll just have to learn!

Myriadcoin announce SMS wallet is working in closed beta testing
Posted by: Bobby (ironhammer5) in News June 4, 2014

Myriadcoin have tonight taken to Reddit to show off a screenshot of a new SMS-based wallet for the coin. This news comes soon after they announced an Electrum-based desktop wallet  earlier this week.

The implications for an SMS-based wallet are rather huge, as it means anybody who is capable of sending a text message on their phone will be able to send, receive and hold Myriadcoins. It will open up the accessibility of Myriadcoin in regions where WiFi and high speed data connections aren’t available

That is pretty awesome! I'd be curious to see what kind of centralization that requires. If they found a way to do that without centralization, that'd be impressive.

Strange results.

even that Curecoin folding have gone from 240 000 000 to 120 000 000 that is 50% down.
I have not received a 100% up on the value.
What is really strange is that the same value is paid out 2014-06-08 and 07, 05 and 04. Huh?
At this time my curve was going all over the place and the curve for curecoin folding team is going down, I should never get the same value!!!!
This looks like something went wrong when you tried to do the "real time" payout feature, did something go wrong in that implementation??
In the table below you see the same values and the values before the "real time" payout dated around 2014-06-03.

During that time I have got these coins:
2014-06-08 152.240917coins
2014-06-07 152.240917
2014-06-06 156.650553
2014-06-05 157.7938
2014-06-04 157.7938
2014-06-03 94.174529
2014-06-02 80.616814
2014-06-01 95.384168

One more strange thing is that I'm folding on two account with multiple computers and both of them are working as fine as they did in the beginning but my ppd are going DOWN??? Why is the ppd going down on a global scale, is this a natural behavior of the folding projects???

And if I check my ppd results that I'm now trying to be as high as 2014-05-20 to 22, even if it works "100%" now I'm not close to the top results then, why??

Whit my experience of mining software or computer software Im have to say that folding software is in a beta stage and need to be shaped up allot!
People don't have time to "manage" folding software in the level of what is needed, it have to be fixed to be successful.

I think this is something for curecoin - if it's going mainstream the feature anonymity then curecoin need to have it to! (Open source)

From the news: Posted by: hybridsole in News June 7, 2014

Honorcoin announces Anonymity Airdrop, mixing system based on CoinJoin.
The team behind Honorcoin has announced via Reddit their plan to deliver anonymity once and for all.
The project is titled Anonymity Airdrop, and promises to be a major change for all cryptocurrencies.

"We have developed a thin wallet that connects to Nodes using a mixing system based in CoinJoin. This system will be entirely open source and we will publish a guide on how to easily set it up for any other altcoin." - Anonymity Airdrop

"We have decided to call this event the Anonymity Airdrop since this software release will be a major change for cryptocurrencies in general. From this moment, every altcoin will have an anonymity solution. Close-source solutions like Darksend will no longer have the monopoly in Anonymity, and much likely become obsolete, for innovation is better in open source systems."
