I think the fact that the folded coins are distributed from a central authority makes investors very uneasy about investing in Curecoin. There is quite simply too much in the hands of a few people. I will still support Curecoin with 1 of my rigs because I like contributing to science, but from an investor stand point there is too much risk!

Seeing it used on the Stamford Campus as a means of buying or paying for some university services may well be a good start if they can convince the powers that be.  Look at where Facebook came from in the early days

services that  can be bought via curecoin would be such a important step
or/and payout for work done in curecoins (which include the side who pay out have to buys curecoins first to be able pay out in curecoins)

such a behavior isnt only a multipool which payout in cure

it could be also some health sience bounties which are paid in curecoins

guess what a promotion it would be if the winner of nobel price dont win euro (or swedisch krones) but instead a amount of curecoins....

Uninstall WITHOUT removing Data worked for me as well, across 5 rigs.  Try that first, save yourself the hassle of setting up passkeys and remote connection configs again, if that doesn't work, THEN nuke Data.

three 280 TRI X on each rig.
On the first, I earn each day more than 400 000 points.
With the other, since today, only 80 000.
I restarted computer without success.

why would people hold any coin?  imagine curecoin is just another coin.... even if it were i see no less reason to hold it than any of the others.

altruistic folders? if they were purely altruistic would they be folding for cure coin? why not just fold and not bother collecting the coins?

buying curecoin DOES support protein folding of course, creates buying pressure, pushes up prices, returns more funds to pay for electricity and folding?

However, a big mistake to give the ipo out all at one time at the start, these will sell suppressing price and therefore putting off non altruistic folders for quite a while. Look at the tiny buys and 500k coins just got released. People who thought it was a good idea to give 10k for 1 btc at the start were crazy

The 80% or whatever huge premine is not really being taken seriously either, that is probably making some nervous of getting in. I mean the holding address was published on some page in the thread but really no effort to look legit has been made on the OP. Anyone reading it will probably consider it could be dumped out at any time in the future. No information about the company set up on the OP. Basically you come to the thread notice the coins are all premined and given out on the pool but after all the scams on this board there is not enough accountability here to give total confidence. Get burned by a few scams and you will be sure to give cast iron proof on the OP to convince people the premine is more than safe. Who even holds it, what happens if they get hit by a bus? dump and run?

I have a few rigs folding, but not buying any yet until the entire set up seems a lot more legit. Folding is at least doing some good if it turns out bad.

i put 4 gpu on my rig
2 of my gpu stuck on 99.99% progress status running for almost 12 hours
1 of my gpu stuck on 100% progress status sent for almost 6 hours
and the other one normal
i tried to restart my pc but nothing change just the same

I love this line of thinking.  I would also love to see the ability to pay for prescriptions and even medical bills in CureCoins.  In the original announcement thread we had a lot of discussion along these lines.

I have no idea how to initiate things like this but I do believe this is the right direction.  Can you imagine if Walgreen accepted CureCoins in their pharmacy?    Maybe a little discount on the price of the drugs because CureCoins may have helped create them and there should be lower transaction fees compared to credit card processors.

There are command line options that F@H has that I have not researched.  I would check to see if there is an option to override / change the work server.  If there is an option to do it you can try using 171.64.65.79.  One of my machines just received work from that server.

I'll answer your question with a question.    Why would I do something in a manner that guarantees I have no chance of receiving any compensation for my time, energy, and hardware when there is a way to do the same thing and have a chance of getting some of the costs back?  The way I see it is CureCoin gives me the opportunity to do something helpful to society with a speculative aspect that may just make a little money along the way.  I see that as a win / win.

And to be clear I had never even heard of F@H until I read the CureCoin announcement.  So if it wasn't for CureCoin my hardware would have never been pointed to F@H because I didn't even know it existed.
