New to datacoin and curious about the mechanic.

Is there a website to browse the data that has been uploaded to the blockchain?
Something like the link that was posted about the quote.jpg but where i can kinda explore the data

And is there a simple guide on how to upload stuff?

Datacoin Ranking

Datacoin is now ranked 860 on CoinMarketCap.  That is some improvement on 1059 but still a long way to go.

I think we need to be in the first 200 before the big exchanges will notice us in a meaningful way.

I am hopeful that as more miners come on board the price of Datacoin will rise.  This is because as the difficulty goes up the block reward drops, which leads to a drop in the number of Datacoins issued every day.  It is in fact possible for large miners to "choke off" the supply of Datacoin, leading to greater scarcity and a higher price.

Does anyone know why one sometimes see unkown mining addresses (which are not your main address)  appearing in the transactions when blocks are solved?

Or can we add more pools for mining?

I'll try to make 2nd pool this week or next week I hope.

hugpuddle.org is back in the trenches writing a platform agnostic API service that exposes all the current functionality of Apertus.io  (code name nio)
we are limiting support of the current browser and bitfossil.com to focus on this new direction.

the nio service hosts a simple web front end that implements the API layer and runs in any modern browser.

features we are delivering first:
wallet configuration and setup.
storage and retrieval of data (optional quantum resistant encryption).
real time blockchain monitoring and indexing.
user profile / identity creation.
trust management / content blocking / white listing.
public / private group or direct messaging.
#keyword creation, full text searching and following. (twitter)
website publishing, searching and browsing. (google)

our goal is to create a completely decentralized, private, censorship free, searchable world wide web.
blockchains like datacoin and services designed for decentralized data storage will be fully integrated.

we will be releasing nio-0.1-beta as a hugpuddle.org open source project later in the year.
the current bitfossil.com service will be powered by an internet facing instance of nio at this time as well.

we are super excited to see your team's progress and to grow with you into the future.

Thank you embii!

So Apertus will become a browser plugin.  Nice.  No more need for a Linux version!  And straight onto Android!
Any thoughts about a DNS service?  Grin  You would be "booting" off your chains anyway.  Add some domain resolution (in Datacoin) and you take over the whole Internet  Grin  From the browser!

Methinks that you are a smart contract layer for your coins.  A virtual machine like that IBM emulator.  Maybe allow the Javascript interpreter to handle Hyperledger chaincode?   Dynamite.

Dangerous thoughts.  But such delicious!   Grin

Hi,

Graymines pool is lowering fee from 5% to 2%!
Also backup pool is planned in not so distant future :-P

Good luck and have fun!
M.

Thank you Marcus.
With 3 exchanges and listing on CoinMarketCap mining is really worth it again.

See how the coin has recovered:

How can we at HugPuddle be of assistance?
We run multiple servers and would be more than willing to host any program that helps Datacoin.
We've never run Sipa's Bitcoin Seeder, and would need some of your mentoring to get things up and running Smiley

Hello,

Which distro do you prefer? I'll give the guidance based on the particulars of your preferred distribution.
The gist of it is cloning the repository and then running make.
After that its placing an NS and A record into Global DNS and then you're off to the races.

This is great data MarcusDe!

Would you mind sharing with us a step by step guide on how you got your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 mining?

Kind Regards,

Well, honestly I just downloaded newest miner from graymines, edited address and ran it, voila :-)
OS is Win7 64bit, new nvidia driver. I hope it will help.

Hello,

I would like to further decentralize our bootstrapping process.

The Datacoin Seeder utility crawls the network and runs a modified DNS server to give fresh active peer addresses to the Datacoin clients.

I'd like a pair of them running on Mainnet and Testnet from various points around the planet.
It would be super to have at least one of the sets in the datacoininfo.org namespace.
The other pair does not need to be in any specific namespace.

Outputs from Datacoin Seeder include a continuously updated plain text file which may be served up on a webpage.

The seeder's main function is to respond to DNS queries and provide fresh IPv4/IPv6 addresses of our nodes.
This improves connectivity for the new users joining our peer swarm as they'll be able to establish more connections very quickly.

If you're interested in running an instance and already have some experience with Sipa's Bitcoin Seeder than this will be an easy task for you.
Otherwise, we're more than happy to help facilitate any mentoring necessary to improve the Datacoin network backbone.

After the new pair of crawlers / seeders are online we will update the Datacoin repository and publish new builds so they are found by clients on startup.

Best Regards,
-Chicago

Marketcap around ~250,000$ is a joke for such advanced coin. We can expect price x100 easily. Dacatoin can be black horse of 2018 year. It's really worth to follow.
