I read some interviews with DNR devs, looked at the progress of the development, I believe that these guys are really about the nontrivial technical aspects and they understand what they are doing.

Carsen has been around for a while and involved in past projects, so he has seen crypto evolve from early on. Its pretty sweet to see how well DNR was thought out about a year ago. And the massive updates lately are no joke.

Do I remember correctly that Carsen also had kind of a bad reputation in the past? Not saying he is bad or anything, this is just a question. I thought I heard or read something about it.

Yes ...

He was a complete scumbag.

This shows that not only people CAN change for the better, but in Carsen's case, it seems MUCH better. It seems he has not only overcome his urge to run a muck in the crypto industry, but also that he has created something of a path that people can follow. Will this continue to be the way? It seems so, but only Carsen himself will show for sure. So far, he has our respect. Not only for cleaning himself up, but for proving that talent is something of a blessing, and he has plenty of it.

#crysx

You are most likely much better informed than me so yeah, why not give a second chance. I would say some people in crypto took it too far in crypto and they won't get a chance for a comeback Tongue

Yea, there is a lot of garabage about me all over Bitcointalk in past threads from like 2013, I do feel most that have followed the project since the beginning are still around, I proved myself and I continue to prove myself, like working a little side project in conjunction with Denarius: https://twitter.com/carsenjk/status/1005950778698158080 Cool

With all that has been going on, and all that you have put in, it's more than proving yourself ...

You have out done yourself mate, and any doubt that anyone would have had should be put to sleep now that you are working the way you do. All in all, the fact that you are not only still here, you are still working and working real hard. To see you in a year or two with all this under your belt, would be the icing on the cake. Well done mate.

I know what a scumbag is, I was one. Many don't take the time, effort and energy to make good of themselves ... you have!

I have been around long enough (almost from the beginning of Crypto) to see. So kudos to you, much respect mate, and keep up the great work you have been doing. Looking forward to what you will have up your sleeve for DNR in the very near future. So far, looks great.

It is really strange exchange, which I have never heard about it.
Is it safe?
Where you get it? from promotional campaigns or links in other topics?

Securing ones bags will become way easier with Ledger/Trezor support. It's always super bullish for a coin. So many good updates for DNR, like it a lot.

My unopened ledger is waiting for them to finally add DNR.

Consider yourself lucky, because you just head very cheap lesson learned.

Yea, there are options out there though for hard drive recovery, which may potentially be worth it, 100 DNR is quite a bit of Denarius in the spectrum of things.

But yes, always recommended to backup your wallet.dat encrypted or store your private keys or seed phrases offline

Since the question comes up frequently how to create denarius.conf. Here you go, this also works on basically any bitcoin based coins.

Thank you.
The available config file saves lot of my time.
For now, my wallet has worked and synced well with Denarius network.

Since I almost had this happen to me a week ago. Mining a new coin, windows update crashed the PC, almost lost an amazing amount of coins in the process. Everyone backup your wallet, private keys, whatever. Get a few USB drives so you have a few copies. Don't forget to encrypt the wallet before doing so.

Did you create any wallet backups?  One of the number one rules for crypto is to always make a wallet backup, on a separate hard drive (ideally do that as well as on an external drive of some sort).  Do you have the priv key or seed words at least?
