What exactly will happen to the DMD I already hold in my wallet?
Will the algo change? I would love to mine DMD again, however, I cannot find any decent Groestl kernels for new cards (do you know of any?).

algo will be most likely XEVAN (CPU/GPU)
basicall every address with 1 or more DMD will start in DMDv3 with same balance as it have on farewell timepoint on DMDv2
the best way to prepare is send all ur coins towards one address and backup the private key of that address (dumpprivkey in console)
guides will presented early enough
with this private key u can claim ur address on DMDv3 chain always and privkey backup is the best way to backup ur address access
we aim to also have a easy mode that DMDv3 wallet can just salvage the old DMDv2 wallet and recover keys but i would not trust just on this
to be on save side always backup ur private keys
and if u total lazy and trust bittrex just move a week before DMDv2 farewell ur coins on exchange
and after DMDv3 chain started ur coin balance will be possible to withdraw from exchange towards DMDv3 wallet
regarding claim ur coins with private key the claim timewindow will be 10 years......
for the exchange swap support u must send to exchange pre DMDv2 farewell
if by some miracle u not able export ur priv keys in time u can even later export them by start up a old dmdv2 wallet when u have a valid wallet.dat (plus the password to unlock it)
(to be able export private keys u can even start the old wallet offline)
