BTW, HYP does not have 1000%+ rate, not even close to that. What HYP s got is a cap of 1000 blocks which can stake max per day. So in theory, not a single block you own have to stake, if this 1000 blocks limit is already taken. This means you stake rate with HYP, again in theory, can be 0%. Again, nothing costs nothing.
I just had a look at the HYP thread from bitcointalk. It says it "up to 750% annual stake rate". You could reach this value, but you need to split the piles... and so on... More work than with the DMD wallet
No you cannot reach it. With current HYP staking difficulty and 1000 max block allowed to stake each day, this stake rate is simply not possible, not even close. HYP guarantees nothing, although it s a nice PoS coin. DMD guarantees 50% annually before the next halving. Big difference.

i was happy buying at the highs and been accumulating since. If I can secure more cash I will buy more. Deep discount right now. The only thing that makes me nervous is that these sells leads me to believe that they are coins that are proof of staked, so the people have nothing to lose. Maybe that is a downfall the 50% but over the long hall I think we cannot go wrong. The name of the game is buy low sell high, and if you bought high then average down. If you don't believe or get to emotional when the price drops then you should not be in. It is like a penny stock, at the ground floor, when she goes she goes up fast and everyone on the sidelines watching that did not invest put down some money and then it goes down they second guess and sell. All we need is strong hands and hey just put in a little here and there and see where you are in 5 years. My plan is 5 years and then I will re evalute. If you dont like the violent swings then put your money under your mattress and see how much you have in 5 years...my guess would be the same amount under the mattress and much much more here. Go long and strong, and don't let your emotions get to you as. The water under the bridge goes low and then comes up high.

You are exactly correct to view DMD as a long term investment. Do not worry about people selling their staked coins for a lower price now, as it allows us to accumulate more and assists in a wider coin distribution.
POS rewards will reduce around March/April next year to 25%, then reduce again a couple of years after to 5% so now is the time to accumulate and hold to maximise your POS earnings. This is definitely an asset to accumulate and hold for the medium to long term. I too have accumulated coins both around the price peaks and in the lows and I have lost nothing.

i was happy buying at the highs and been accumulating since. If I can secure more cash I will buy more. Deep discount right now. The only thing that makes me nervous is that these sells leads me to believe that they are coins that are proof of staked, so the people have nothing to lose. Maybe that is a downfall the 50% but over the long hall I think we cannot go wrong. The name of the game is buy low sell high, and if you bought high then average down. If you don't believe or get to emotional when the price drops then you should not be in. It is like a penny stock, at the ground floor, when she goes she goes up fast and everyone on the sidelines watching that did not invest put down some money and then it goes down they second guess and sell. All we need is strong hands and hey just put in a little here and there and see where you are in 5 years. My plan is 5 years and then I will re evalute. If you dont like the violent swings then put your money under your mattress and see how much you have in 5 years...my guess would be the same amount under the mattress and much much more here.
