[DUSK PODCAST] Analysis in Chains

We had a great interview with Nathan from Analysis in Chains in which we talked about our Protocol, the secondary markets, how we are building a fully decentralized solution, and the importance of having a clear target market.

How to learn more about Dusk Network
What is Dusk Network?  Dusk eliminates the middlemen in regulated markets by using cryptography to implement privacy and trading restrictions on chain. This means we offer Security Tokenization that is private, scalable, and cheap.

Could the new pro-Bitcoin White House Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney, also turn the tides for crypto and in particular security tokens?

Will it could be likely since Governments are now beginning to realize the immense benefits of blockchain technology to empower them together with several industries that could benefit from it.

Future has a glimpse of more hope on security tokens as the US congressmen introduce bill to exempt crypto from securities law:
https://bitcoinist.com/cryptocurrency-exemption-securities-law/

Good news such as this could be a catalyst to the whole crypto industry and will re-energized the crypto markets which has been downed by several months of depression.

there are some good people in congress that are very pro crypto. let's hope it passes.

Hope so, but it would be hard to convince those old farts in congress that only focus on the use of crypto to buy drugs/fund terrorism/etc

Yes, STO's can be a new attraction for new money to come into the crypto market.
I see many people are tired with utility tokens (especially token without good mechanism) where they don't get anything from holding it and just hope the price will increase.

I believe as well STO are what this market need to get back on it's feet, not on the short term i reckon, but perhaps within 2019

I wonder how bounties will work for STO's. They won't do any or they will pay with eth/btc or will they continue like regular, giving out their token.

Bounty on STO's??? Is that a thing? Why would companies give out stock for free?

Maybe 0,000000000000001 parts of a stock (which would be made possible for the first time thanks to blockchain) to create a community, but since there are already real earning companies behind STO's this is not really necessary.

The US is often a role model so if this bill passes the EU might follow suit. That would be a huge boost for crypto going into 2019.

It will take some time untill politicians who are financed by banks will stop connecting crypto with money laundering and will give blockchain a chance to be used for some other areas. But good to see there are changes being made.
It is good to start early with the release of the regulation concerning the prohibition of crypto, it opens the way for friends who entered the world of crypto but restricted by regulations of the State. by recovering the value of Bitcoin nowadays, I hope they will be a good start for everything.

considering that the market is unstable with the new stable coins exchanges try to give security to investors, no one knows yet whether dusk will be successful or not regardless of the sum already raised but be among the first in a new sector (sto) i think give a lot of help and incentives...

That is true, I have high hopes for STO in the near future, and also for those who start this process now (Pioneers), imminent regulations may be the key point for a market rush and for these pioneers

next year will be the year of the sto according to me have both advantages and disadvantages for example the bounty for the sto almost certainly will require kyc that i do not really like, the positive part is that somehow will bring dividends for their possession, dusk should speed up the realization of the project to be among the first offering this technology (security token / privatechain), one of the first choices in short...

IF there ever will be bounties, for example I didn't see bounties for every STO issued on Swarm (which maybe is one of the reasons that only one tuned out really succesull so far)

What did you take as a scale to call the STOs on Swarm succesfull? Did they reach their hardcap or softcap?

I think it's not possible yet to say whether it is because they had no bounties or because they were just the first sales of their kind (STO).

Everyone talks about STOs but no one exactly knows how it will interact with the legacy jurisdictions... What do you code in a security token? Equity? Voting rights? Votes? Dividends?
If it's Dividends and equity isn't this a convertible note? Debt?

I think we still have to wait for regulation to follow through this before you make any hasty decision around STOs.

That's what im still wondering about, well because I haven't read much information about STO especially about the regulation. Is there already a running project that has done an STO before?
