I wonder how bounties will work for STO's. They won't do any or they will pay with eth/btc or will they continue like regular, giving out their token.

That's an interesting question. I am not sure if projects are allowed to give away their security tokens for marketing purposes. But as a bounty hunter, I hope that the STOs will have some kind of bounty program, too. But I guess then KYC will be mandatory to be compliant to all regulations.

We are already doing ico for the most of the bounties so there is no problem in that area. At least we would be doing kyc for something more valuable. But i don't know how they will act on bounty basis.

am also waiting for the festive season to pass, and then see what will happen, but am hopping for the best

Small rise till Bakkt, big dump after ETF rejection...

What about money escaping the stock market looking for a safe haven, or at least a profitable if somewhat capricious haven? If the Bitcoin Cash gang finally get over themselves, crypto could make a comeback sucking up all that sweet sweet Facebook, Amazon and Netflix money.

Crypto is still extremely risky. Might be a safe haven with little correlation to the stock market in the future, but for now most investors won't see it that way. They will never escape the traditional market to safe their money just to invest it in an even riskier unproven market; maybe some, but not a lot. At least, I don't think so....

People should remember this is the first time in crypto's life span we are in a downward stock market. The major run up last years was made possible by lots of cheap money thanks to low interest rates and QE. We all have to wait and see how a bear market in the traditional world impacts crypto.

Everyone talks about STOs but no one exactly knows how it will interact with the legacy jurisdictions... What do you code in a security token? Equity? Voting rights? Votes? Dividends?
If it's Dividends and equity isn't this a convertible note? Debt?

I think we still have to wait for regulation to follow through this before you make any hasty decision around STOs.

Arthur Hayes of BitMEX believes 2019 will be the year of security tokens and stablecoins as other asset classes keep dumping.

Security tokens and stablecoins will prove attractive sirens for investors in 2019.

next year will be the year of the sto according to me have both advantages and disadvantages for example the bounty for the sto almost certainly will require kyc that i do not really like, the positive part is that somehow will bring dividends for their possession, dusk should speed up the realization of the project to be among the first offering this technology (security token / privatechain), one of the first choices in short...

Yes, STO's can be a new attraction for new money to come into the crypto market.
I see many people are tired with utility tokens (especially token without good mechanism) where they don't get anything from holding it and just hope the price will increase.

I believe as well STO are what this market need to get back on it's feet, not on the short term i reckon, but perhaps within 2019

Everybody had high hopes for a positive uptrend of crypto markets in 2019 and I had a feeling we will see more growth in  adoption which is very important to the survival of crypto industry.

A lot of big people said that new mainstream in crypto is security tokens. So may be 2019 will be like 2017 for ICos but for STO. And may be DUck will be "Ethereum" for STO? I think they must hurry up with development to became first in this niche...

They will be backed by real world assets (for example fractional ownership of a real estate, or backed by stocks, 1 stock = 1 token) or used for dividends (like stocks, anyway)

That would be the horror of all banks. The little man can safely keep his money in a wallet accessible only to him and by investing in a sto he can define his own return.
Before that, the banks are trembling at the moment and that's also one reason why crypto is developing so slowly.
But maybe the slow development is good too. So it comes creeping and before the powerful people and organizations notice it,
crypto will be already indispensable, just as we today can't turn off the Internet just like that.

I like your version much better. If we are really coming close to the next economic crisis like some says, then it will be possible that money will be redirected to crypto as a long term investment and not like now, when everyone wants a quick buck out.

Big money is always looking for a good return on their investments so crypto could do that if there was a stock market crisis.

It will be interesting to see if 2019 will be the year of STOs or if it is still too early due to the uncertainty regarding their regulation.

It will definetly not the year of ICO's i must say. So if there is something have luck about the market they are STO's.
