Faster hardware I could have guessed for myself, and I doubt that ext4 vs NTFS will make much of a difference.
None of other coin wallets take this much time starting up, should get priority to be fixed if all users of ECC have this issue.

Check people on the slack channel if you seek any help. Here is harder to troubleshoot things.

Also, you can open a GitHub ticket if you have not done so already.

Does ecc consider to reduce or halve again the max supply? This has a good  potential

Hi everyone. I am new to ECC. Just spent few days reading available material. I think it's amazing what you have accomplished so far. Looking forward to 2018.

Hi, is there a way to speed up starting the daemon, loading block index takes more then 30min everytime I startup the wallet.

If you use an SSD it will be faster. Also it helps if you use Linux instead of Windows. =)

I have some questions:

1. Why 25 billion coins?? Isn't that to many Huh
2. Why are you only on coinexchange.io and no other place?
3. What makes this coin special besides the other 2000 coins???
4. What is your plan that will make this valuable in 2018???

1.Original cap was 50 billion, it was halved. Coin count doesn't really matter on the long term, if anything It's more benefical for more complex structures like ecc.

2.Expansion is planned, but it's not the priority right now, but It's not too far away.

3. It's a multichain structure(how it works explained in the whitepaper). ECC aims to use this tech to decentralize everything data related, everything you see on the internet(network services). There are only handful of coins that can possibly do that(as far as I know 3 with ECC), and ecc has the lead on development.

4. Read 3

NOT Staking.

I finally have my wallet running after a few days of trial/error and synching/daemon issues.

The wallet is set for staking=1. The wallet has been open and yet it's not staking

Any help?
Hi,

Since the maximum number of coins have been reached, there's not the stacking option anymore !

OK. Thanks for the info. It has been a while since 2014 when I got this coin
Ahah yes, a lot of changes happened Smiley
Now the project is solid !

Nothing helps. Daemon just wont start. Thanks for trying. Was good to see it was working for a while.

If you just download the daemon, you need to go to the directory of the daemon C:\Users\$user$\.eccoin-daemon and start it manually the first time because you should to accept the request of Windows Defender.

I didn't just download deamon. Everything was allready working. Fully synced and transactions showing. Nothing was confirmed so i restarted it. And from then it just gets stuck.
Reinstalled Lynx And syncing again from 0%. Didnt work with old block folder but with fresh 1 its syncing.

Ok. Here is the update. It synched. Showing 0 balance. With lots of transactions pending looking like:

Sent()                            0 ecc                       pending          1189 days ago
Sent(my wallet)              -11728.346 ecc        pending           1189 days ago            - this is what worries me. Probably PoS stage when i wasnt doing anythine anymore
Recieved(my wallet)        11728.346 ecc         pending           1189 days ago

Was mining ECC years ago. Had a decent amount before it went in PoS. Never sent out any coins. In recieve there is amount that should be my balance couse i never sent any coins anywhere if i understand it right
with 0 confirmations. Do i just wait and hope i get confirmations or is there anything else i can do? Does the wallet-daemon need to be turned on? Maybe some of my questions seem stupid to some of you but this wallet
is completely different then all the other ones i'm using. Thanks for your help.

Sorry if this has been posted. I went through tons of pages looking for a solution but I didn't have any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just downloaded the wallet on Windows 64bit. I clicked on the download to get the daemon. It says its downloaded and ready to start, but I don't see any way to start it. I'm not sure what's going on. I also see a connection dialog on the bottom of the screen stating, "connect ETIMEDOUT 127.0.0.1:19119". Thanks in advance.

My wallet has been syncing for 2 days. and only synced 1.4% . Is there anything i can do to speed this up? I have 10 active connections, but this seems way to slow

You have 10 active connections? I think it was supposed to have 8 max when syncing... Well, one thing you can do to speed the process is stop daemon and start it again. I think sometimes it "stuck" in a slower node (or something like that. I suppose Griffith will have that solved maybe on next update).
After all headers are synced, it will speed up a lot.
Do you have HDD or SSD?
I have SSD and didnt took so long... Less than a day from 0

Yep, 10. HDD , but its barely using any computer resources at all. I restarted DAEMON and now im stuck on "Loading block index..." lol

UPD: actually i think its going quicker now. Thanks man!

If you see it stuck again, do the same.
Hdd is a bit slower, but dont worry - you will get there.

New wallet? Or had previous one with transactions?

What is it? Erc20 token or independent coin? thx
It is an independent coin with own blockchain.
It is 100% POS, and now it haves 0 inflation
Lot of work is being done and ECC will have great features Wink
