well i don't care how many people agree,
when you hard fork a coin change the algorithm and start selling it on another exchange for a fraction of the value it was trading at I think these results alone show it was a bad idea,
When a project is released to the world , it needs to stand up to technology,
I think more would mine the coin and 'jar' it loose if there were more nodes and really all it would take is a few hours of someone with some of the new asic firepower to bump it along,
When a 'hostile takeover' (sorry that is how I see it) is done, I can understand the reluctance of anyone to mine either blockchain
In reality I consider hostile takeovers of coins an attack on the coin itself....
You could just as easily have cloned the concept of this coin and released a new coin with neoscrypt and have had none of these issues....
Why would you not do that .... I suspect you wanted to 'force' cryptsy and others like myself who hold a lot of these coins in the old format to dump them for nothing in your new algo,
I don't care i will just as soon let the coin die than support a hostile takeover of this coin,
If anyone out there wants to do the right thing and put a heater on the coin for a day or so i think it would offer you a good opportunity and the new fork can carry on if they like but hopefully cryptsy will stay on the old fork,
I am not representing cryptsy here but since they did not answer me I am stating what I think is the right thing , the honest thing,
Anyone who does not agree with me has the right to do otherwise....
Depending on what takes place in the next few days I may look for another way to move things along, but i need to speak to a few others I am in contact with from time to time and get buy in from them
Theoretically I agree, but in the real world we understand that however genius the inital dev is - there is a need to refine the algo to avoid the situation that we've got right now - the diff stuck at high level, retarget is many block ahead and blockchain stuck.
we've got some discussion here and people agree that something need to be changed and fortunately there are (or there was) people wishing to change. Nobody suffer in this situation, lots of altcoins do hardforks
