Wow, my condolences with Catlin. Can't believe you were just dropped like that....wtf Did he have to lose?

How about we just set up a similar service, and show him what he's missing out on Wink

Imo, the "breakup" with Catlin isn't a too big loss, since i believe that CryptoCoderz with the help of the community can work out a bigger stuff.

Would be nice, but small things like "pool down" for now two days are not good.

Pool is back online, yet 2 days was not planned but it's now running on better hardware.

devs has personal life also, dont beeeee impatient

Indeed we all do. The past two days were also spent talking with Catlin and re-situating things.
Which now have been done. We'll still be working with them and such. Definitely glad to have that all sorted out Smiley

Otherwise we're going back to work on Espers stuff. Once again users are able to purchase storage and other services with ESP Smiley

im getting
Code:
Error: wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed
if i copy my wallet.dat from windows  to my rasberry pi
any help?

Is the wallet.dat encrypted?
Do you get an error when you open the wallet on a windows system again?

Did you try "repairwallet" on the console?
no not encrypted.
working back on windows
and repairwallet won´t work because espersd crashes after Error: wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed msg.

I would delete the windows wallet on the raspberry system.
Sync with the "empty wallet" and than after the full sync try to copy the windows wallet again to the raspberry.

DEVs you should start with twitter campaign for ESP2 - to get more attention from public

ESP is a good crypto and should be in top 100 or even 10...

I like the idea that it will be possible to rent storage for ESP.

May I ask where the servers are located?

They are located in Ridgecrest, CA, USA

We are regret to inform all of you here that due to absolutely no sign ups for any of the services offered through Catlin Computer Solutions, they have come to the conclusion that crypto is not a profitable venture  and are therefore no longer offer cloud storage, hosting and other services for ESP.

That's impatient if I ever saw one. It's been a month for them?

They have a business to run and if they feel that this isn't what they want then they are entitled to their choices.
Again, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. The team has some servers Wink We'll probaby have something setup with solid performance in a week or two. (Maybe sooner)

Yes, I think impatient. Crypto takes time. ESP needs to develop value too. And even in "normal" world rule of thumb is allow 6 months for something new to gain market acceptance.

Agreed but they made their choice. We're honoring it but not letting the service die out for community members.

One question: You developers already had an idea or an outline of how would the mailing system before ANN earlier this year?

We are regret to inform all of you here that due to absolutely no sign ups for any of the services offered through Catlin Computer Solutions, they have come to the conclusion that crypto is not a profitable venture  and are therefore no longer offer cloud storage, hosting and other services for ESP.

In light of this we will be switching over to providing these services in house directly for ESP and others with our own servers. More news on this later Smiley

Integrated mining will be the focus over the next two days. We'll keep you posted on the development of the integrated mining and post some screenshots Cheesy

I think the Catlin services would have been more attractive if the cost in ESP more was visible rather than everything based on ask for a quote.

Wouldn't it be interesting though if storage was decentralised into ESP system itself, later on, to give more  purpose to the coin? Site on blockchain, decentralised storage, secure messaging ... maybe food for thought.

That's actually a really good idea! Well just in case you wanted to know, the prices were set to match the USD prices with a 10% markup for crypto usage. They wanted people to request a quote as they never integrated API keys

Decentralized storage was actually  pillar point of our goals for the coin, however due to low traffic we removed that from our webpage while it is still a goal, it has been pushed aside for more pressing matters, as our development team has been very busy with their personal lives as we do not have any funds to pay.
