Per the Greyscale Investment Thesis it appears that the Client Implementation Goal Date is 17 days away.  06/26/2017.

That should move this beast.

I agree I think it's ridiculous that they can just fork the chain whenever they feel fit I thought in crypto code was law maybe Eth should rebrand to forkcoin

It's so much worse than that. Most blockchains propose a fork and wait for people to do it.

Eth just codes it as the default into the blockchain with like few hours notice so anyone updating automatically (which is like 90% of people) always end up voting for whatever EF likes more. And then they hold funding and updates hostage to prevent disagreements. It's centralized af.

Hey Crypto Kidz, are you ready for Flippening II: Satoshi Boogaloo?   Cheesy

ETC >> ETH   Cool

What surprises me is the Crypto community supporting a coin that was forked to reverse transactions. Is this a precursor to what can be expected when banksters and govt get involved in this space?

*ETC* should be the top dog out of the two.

Chinese exchange OKCoin has said reports about it listing Ethereum Classic (ETC) are “fake news,” cnLedger reports.

After fellow exchange BTCC announced it would be listing the Ethereum fork, the community reacted to what appeared to be OKCoin following suit. On Sunday, it sought to debunk the rumors.

That is bad news for ethereum classic.  Cheesy the will not be listed on okcoin.

Its not bad news, bad news would be something way worse like bugs or other issues. they never really said "we will never add it" maybe when etc marketcap increases they will add it.
No, that is bad news about ethereum classic on okcoin, the good news is here
The eToro trading platform announced today that they are adding Ethereum Classic ($ETC). 4.5 million customers...

One of the Chinese financial media reported that OKCoin is going to launch ETC trading.
The languege use Chinese to explain about it but i don't think it will be problem because
we can use Google translete to read it, the impact to price of ethereum classic will be going up in my opinions
because the costumers of okcoin can buy ETC on there be easy.

So, ETH starts out, time passes and changes are made to the original code, meaning that there was briefly two blockchains, it is called forking.  The consensus rule determines which fork lives, not by any real voting or anything like that, just by sheer power of numbers and mining.  Call that new fork that survived ETH 2.  ETH classic is a re-release of the ETH 1 code that died.

I'm a newbie in the world of Altcoin. Why are most of the projects developed on the Ethereum platform and not on the Ethereum Classic platform?

Ok, although the names might not say it, technically ETH was the first coin.  Then, the dev's or someone forked the code and the consensus went with those changes and that ETH evolved into something close to what it is today.  There were those that did not like the fact that they were not the majority rule and ETH classic was developed from the first incarnation of the ETH code.
