Any future projects coming up for classic?

There are dozens of projects in works for ETC. It's just that most of them... don't announce themselves loudly, if at all: https://daemonuxldeitsvu.onion.to/ But if you think about what kind of applications gave initial value boost to BTC, you'll come to the right conclusion.

@Longsnowsm any chance on some feedback on the Ledger Nano S Cryptocurrency hardware wallet with using it for ETC?
https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/12-ledger-nano-s Has it arrived?

@greenuser Sorry I vanished for a while.  Been off playing with other coins and not paying much attention here as of late.  I did get the Nano, but I have to be honest I haven't yet had a chance to play with it.  I was off on some other foolish errands! LOL  I will get a chance to take a look at it in a couple of weeks.  I will be off grid for a bit, but will check back in once I get back and give you that review on the wallet.

Here is a review that Lee posted that should give you an idea of how it works.

Ledger Nano S can be used to store ETC:

"Ledger Nano S is a Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH/ETC) hardware wallet, based on robust safety features for storing cryptographic assets and securing digital payments."

Can someone tell me what is going on with the price of this coin, i have bought bunch of it @ 0.0022 btc.
Any hope of recovering from the present price?

The main coin ETH is about to hard fork again. All the developers and business cases are working on the main coin. This dollar immutable ETC coin has no real developers and no real business cases. The sophistication in hard forking is beyond that 2 amateur developers that try to maintain this coin. When this hard fork on the main coin ETH takes place next week, it will leave this coin in the dust.  The original idea of ETC was to piggy back on ETH and copy and paste all changes as it developed. No one is competent enough in ETC to actually do that. So this I regret is ETC's swan song.  Sad

Yes, setting virtual memory/swap to 64GB, as shown above (for Windows) resolves the out-of-memory issue, and the clients synchronize.

Also, you can use Jaxx wallet which has ETC support: http://jaxx.io/

It sync a bit slow but sync.
Thank you very much by share the solution to,

Ethereum Classic Price Technical Analysis – ETC Breakdown Real Deal

Ethereum classic price continued to decline, and a minor correction yesterday versus the Bitcoin failed. The ETC sellers prevented the upside move. The main hurdle was yesterday’s highlighted bearish trend line on the hourly chart of ETC/BTC (data feed via Simplefx). The pair fell sharply and lost more than 5%. There was a new weekly and monthly low below 0.00160BTC. The price traded as low as 0.00151BTC...

Admin of CoinMiners Pools
Hello guys

It seems like ETC is under attack and last night parity wallet from us node crashed , right now bot us and eu are running fine on https://ethc.coin-miners.info/ but still there is an attack on etc , i hope there will be an update soon to stop this kind of attack.
last night i was not able to mine either ETH/ ETC. it seems same sort of attack in both chain. Now I am able to mine ETH but is unable to mine ETC. What should I do ?

You can mine ETC to , there is a new parity update 1.3.7 and is a bit better now (just dont forget to set up a fail over pool), i just made the update on all the nodes on coinminers

How can I fix the geth sync problem? I tried many things but I couldn't be successfull. Is there any way to fix it?

Both ETH and ETC are attacked in a similar way this time. It is hard to sync geth due to memory overload. It's recommended to increase swap size to 64GB. More information here: https://www.reddit.com/r/EthereumClassic/comments/572vx9/etc_network_issues_discussion/

Also, some ETC block explorers are down since they depend on geth. Mining still continues, major pools implement different optimizations to mitigate the attack:

I tried all these steps but there is no successs. My configuration I7 cpu 16 gb ram with 240 gb ssd. Any recomends are wellcome.

Hi everyone, 3 posts below are from reddit.

#1
The ETC network appears to be facing memory usage attacks. The issue is likely related to the latest attacks on the ETH network.

- Both parity and geth nodes are affected by the attack.
- For miners, it is recommended to use nodes with 16GB and above, and increase swap size to 64GB.
- More info and advice on how to deal with this attack may be available in the #mining channel of the ETC Community Slack.

#2
Etherninja with great advice in reference to the ETC network issues. Let me know if this link works for everyone.

"Increase swap 32-64gb. increase vm.swappness 60. parity dbcache 4096. tx gas cap 50000. pools might benefit from taskset if stratum process on same node. set ramdisk to expand more than physical memory. i am switching to dbcache from ramdisk for now."

#3
- Give it more memory and restart when it consumed all cpu.
- For miners, it is recommended to use nodes with 16GB and above, and increase swap size to 64GB
