I'll come back when you guys are talking about Ethereum Tongue

Ethereum is about Turing-complete scripting language.
Without it, it is nothing more than another copycoin.

It means that the blockchain will be able to do things by itself.
It makes the blockchain alive.
It is the Saint-Grail for some, hell for some others.
It means that almost anything is possible, for better or for worse.
The Pandora box will be open soon.
maybe you could elaborate? the only thing I know can happen with AT is dividend payments. does this make DACs possible also?

Dividend payment should be the first use.
A Decentralized Autonomous Corporations would need Automatic Dividend Payment in order to exist so yes.

This could use an explanation for those of us that don't speak weird random letters and numbers Smiley
Thx
Nxt will release its own Turing-complete scripting language before Ethereum.
Turing-complete scritping language? Can you explain for non tecnical users

The transaction becomes code and the node becomes interpreter. However, there's no luxury to tolerate crash on bugs or worse dead loop on buggy code. Now you can see how excite and meanwhile how risky it is.

Why do you say that?
I'm hearing a lot of negativity over Ethereum lately...

Hi Ethereum community!

I seem to have missed the sale. Is there any other way I can get anything??

If not, when has the release date been set??

Shit, take mine. This is either going to net a very low ROI, or leave you with absolutely nothing.

I feel like a dummy for getting involved.

I personally would be very weary of 'Ethercoin" but they are now on CMC and if I were the Ethereum devs I would try an get them delisted:

mind to elaborate please?

It was important to Vitalik and everyone that the initial sale of Ether was very fair. This, I think, along with the massive hype, is why there was no cap on the sale of Ether. They wanted to prevent a whale from nabbing up a significant portion of the coins and make sure everyone who wanted in, got in.

So because everyone knew about this IPO, the market is fairly saturated. Who will bid up the price of Ether once Ethereum is actually live, especially with miners selling off coins (Ether is fairly inflationary in the first year IIRC), as everyone who wanted in, is in?

It seems *possible* that the price of Ether stays fairly flat after the initial launch of the platform and remains so until the Ethereum ecosystem and services that require Ether are set up and widely used. Some people invested looking for a quick return instead of supporting a project they care about and that may not have been the best idea given we seem to be looking at a looming bitcoin bubble and Ethereum investments are fairly locked up.

I agree with your point of view, some people just wanted to get rich fast and now they are disappointed. Anyway it is ridiculous claiming such bad feelings right now, when Ethereum needs 6 months more of development.

And it has nothing to do with Ethereum. It's just about bitcoin price going down.
Some people didn't understand that Ethereum is a combined bet with Bitcoin... and of course it works in both ways.

How much was the presale value?

1 BTC = 2,000 Ether

what's the price atm?

There's no price atm. The initial sale is over and no one can sell you any Ether as it hasn't launched yet
Is ethercoin related to this project?

Nope, ethercoin is just a shitcoin, they try to capitalise on similar name.

In their ann they are saying  the coin is aimed to who missed the Etherium sale

I think its better to wait for the real thing.

What is the difference between now and when they launched IPO? Why you invested then?
