syncing but very slow after one hour Downloading block 2,283,431 of 2,294,267 so 16 block download 1 hour

i see geth working but use much memory 1889 mb use

Parity is rock solid, kept the network alive during a major crisis (especially given the timing) and prevented a panic.

The Geth developers are nothing less than unreal. The time it took them to respond and deliver couldn't be matched even by the likes of google or apple.

Also a big shout out to all of us, the community for keeping our calm and actually being helpful by not panicking, by switching to a working client and by not putting extra pressure to the shoulders of the developers.

I think most non-devs don't get how extraordinary it is to have such a fast and committed response from devs.

This is what sets Ethereum apart in my mind. Yes, it is open source, but it also has professional and committed visionaries behind it.

I am wondering is this problem that you are talking about explain why my wallet will not download beyond block 2,287,977. I have rebuilt the db three times and the ethereum wallet / Geth keeps crashing.

How do i fix this and be able to sync to the network.

There is no attack. The ETHF network is down!
Network crashed because of a bug (mem leak) in the reference geth client.

Well, I told ya.
Sell ETHF and buy ETHC if you want to have ethers in your portfolio.

I guess, all crypto mining payouts will be ultra low, because of fewer blocks found per minute, until this attack is over!
