Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
infinite supply?
this is first time to see POW with infinite supply.

Tail emissions are extremely important as coins are lost/destroyed and it allows for growth, many coins have them. They are usually very small just to keep the network secure after the initial rewards period ends.

Excuse my noobishness on the subject but... isn't Cuckoo Cycle PoW ASIC mineable?
If not, what makes it different from ASIC mineable Cuckoo algos?
Would be a shame if after all this talks/threads about mining with GPUs and CPUs on day 1 resulted in total pounding of the network by ASICs.

Hi All

GrinHub are proud to announce that we will be launching a number of projects to help support the technical development of Grin as well as the growth of the community.

50% of all profits generated from our activities will be donated directly to the Grin council, the other 50% will be reinvested into improving our services, community growth and support, and potentially an investment fund focussed on Grin based projects

The first project we would like to announce is an OTC desk with escrow services. More details will be made available soon but we hope to have it up and running for Mainnet.

"What’s Grin?

"Electronic transactions for all. Without censorship or restrictions."

Well seems like 70% of the people can't mine it.

How to mine Grin

To mine, you need:

- a recent CPU (with AVX2)
- preferably also a good graphics card (a GPU) with at least 5.5GB of fast RAM
- some skills with linux. Windows support is upcoming - look for GrinGoldMiner which has both an open source and a Pro version.

Grin v0.5 Step by Step Miner Guide on Ubuntu

Windows
* GrinGoldMiner

 https://github.com/mozkomor/GrinGoldMiner

Miner supports all AMD and NVIDIA 8GB cards. RTX 8GB cards need Linux or Windows7 at the moment because Windows reserves too much memory on those cards (should be resolved soon)

RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti are fastest, OpenCL code for AMD cards is being optimized. Cheap Celeron CPU is not recommended for many cards on the system.

* Grinpro,

Compatible GPUs / Supported cards:

RTX 2080 ti 8GB

Coming soon:

P106-100
GTX 1060

If you are a developer Grinminer then please answer the questions listed on page 3 of this topic.
I (RX480) cannot connect to the pool C:\PROJECTS\GRIN\GrinGoldMiner\src\Master\StratumConnect ahhh!cs # Line: 140
User gauge (RTX2080) apparently has a problem with the worker.
Please give an explanation on the work of Windows version of the miner.

have you ever  heard about Ethereum ?
Lord Monero and Bishop Doge would also like to have a word too - strong words. Blockchain just keeps getting interesting by the day. Thrilled to follow Grin's development. I find its documentation more thorough and sound compared to the competition
