Nice GUN volume on Cryptopia this weekend - over 0.32BTC so far today alone and we were just shy of 40 earlier - excellent work!

anyone else using the block factory and seeing their hash rates much different than what they are actually mining?

today I'm showing 450-560 KH/s on block factory and my hash rates are showing 910+ KH/s. Even my accepted shares are at that level. I am getting nothing lower than 900. I wasn't having this issue with the site until today. Just curious is anyone else is seeing this

Ive been using The Blocks Factory for DGB and FTC for a couple of months now.  yes, the hashrates on the site are not accurate but over 24 hours seems to work out.  I love this pool, i can see exactly what my payout is per block and every time I've needed to do an instant cash out, the coins go out immediately.

I'm mining GUN on a GTX 750ti (old but super efficient and i didn't have to buy)  Grin

You just reminded me that I have one of those kicking around somewhere.

I'll have to look for it and see what it can do, since there is nothing like the sound of a video card humming in the background, helping to back digital currency Smiley

ive mistyped the extension on files before as well and couldn't figure out what was wrong until I walked away, refreshed and came back trying to look at things differently. Then I felt stupid that I missed something so small. LOL. Hope it worked for you and you can sync.

put guncoin.conf in the following folder (the separ is my username, yours will be different)

C:\Users\separ\AppData\Roaming\Guncoin

FYI, for those looking to figure out what their CPU/GPU can mine.

I have a NVidia GTX 1070, 8GB and am getting 800-850 KH/s normally. If I overclock the card slightly by say 75-100 I can get into the low 900s. Ive gotten it up 980KH/s with a higher overclock but don't want to push that. If I don't overclock I'm lookin at around 3900 guncoin per day on the blocksfactory pool.

OK I'M STUPID Cheesy !!!

For everyone who is trying to addnode be 100% sure that you check the file extension in windows http://quehow.com/how-to-change-a-file-extension-in-windows-10/4450.html

Because my conf file was .conf.txt even if i saw .conf

I promise you are not the only one that has ever happened to......

Yep...

BTW, I appreciate the determination exhibited in working on solving the issue.

It also makes a nice lesson/instructional here in these pages for others who may need to figure out a conf file.

Hello sparker327,

can you please better explain what you have done?

Because i created the guncoin.conf  and i copied exatcly what you posted inside then put it in the roaming/guncoin folder.

The problem is that the application don't see the conf file.

ok, so I played around with the conf file and did the following which now is syncing the wallet the way it should. So those that are having issues just create the guncoin.conf file and add the following. Once I did this and restarted the wallet the syncing process started.

rpcuser="your user"
rpcpassword="your password"
daemon=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcbind=127.0.0.1
server=1
addnode=104.237.4.26
addnode=158.69.248.93
addnode=167.114.249.196
addnode=176.31.126.191
addnode=184.164.129.202
addnode=188.165.194.146
addnode=194.8.23.138
addnode=200.165.216.117
addnode=204.27.59.90
addnode=212.3.192.248
addnode=51.254.45.117
addnode=76.64.78.208
addnode=78.42.198.233
addnode=84.2.153.98

Thanks for the followup - I will update the nodes on the instruction set when I get the chance.

I guess you cant say no one else is having issues with the wallet because I am having the same exact problem. Downloaded the wallet from your website and run it like any other wallet. It wont even START to sync, says no active connections. I added nodes with addnode in console, also added config file and nothing is having an effect. So, this is person number 3 having the same issue. Others may be and not know about getting onto forum to post, they may just give up. At my current rate of 800 kh/s I'm mining over 4000 per day and have no place to put them.

There is no problem with the wallet that I can see.  It has remained unchanged and fully functional for several years.

I am syncing an older wallet right now

The problem is "that it has remained unchanged" because 3 nodes doesn't work anymore!

And an older one is not the solution because it can work with older working nodes in it!

If installing a new one works then I will double check mine.

I even tried to add a node from the console with

addnode NodeIP add

and nothing changes!

Installed the wallet on  another pc and it does exactly the same thing...

I repeat there is a problem with the wallet sync.

If someone who cares about this coin want to fix this good otherwise me and future cutomers will never see a gun coin.

This will surely not help the growing of this coin.

I am syncing an older wallet right now with no issues and seeing 6-7 connections since the network syncing started. I am sorry you are having difficulties, but it is clearly NOT with the blockchain or the wallet - no one else seems to be having any issues.

You may want to update/change or add a .conf file which you will find/can make in the Guncoin folder which would be under your "User name here"/AppData/Roaming/ folder.

In order to make that file, you can start with a regular .txt file then change the extension to ".conf" if need be.

Place that file in the Guncoin folder, then restart the wallet.

Here is where you may find some node lists: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/#!network

Thanks!

You are welcome.

Am glad to try and be useful, lol.

I am not sure of the exact name that file should be though,....probably "guncoin.conf" in lower case.
