On another note, I found a guy who can do Android wallets. His asking price is about $1000 USD tho.

Well, his website says $700 in 2-3 days.  That is a lot more than when I had someone else last year lined up to do it.  But it appears he has a resume to show his work. I am not sure if we want to spend the money on cloning the existing wallet for Android.  My preference would be to add a few other features and then add the extra wallet. That being said, it was not done before because there was no serious demand for it.  We will look in to some other options for this as well - thanks for the info.

Honestly, right now, I am not seeing a demand for it either except to show we have one - that in itself is not bad. But we would see more value in it if there were an additional feature incorporated as well. Seems like a decent programmers - thanks for the heads up.

At first glance CryptoClone seems like a Ponzi.

Forum moderator deleted their posts for spamming I think.

At first glance CryptoClone seems like a Ponzi.

Like I said before, when you throw the term "Investment" around, you get all sorts of Federal attention.  They may have a legit  Delaware company, but I see no sign they have a money transmitters license in any state or any type of SEC registration listed anywhere.  However, if somehow the trading or investing is done within a blockchain, there may be nothing to regulate.  I believe I will watch it a while first.....

Uh, no, not really. Looks like they are spamming the forums and every altcoin thread with it. From different accounts too.

Well, I viewed it as a way to drum up business.  If they are going to include 200 crypto currencies, in theory, that would give them the right to post an ad in every one of them to invite the users to join.  So it will be interesting to see if they really get all 200 of them up and running.

Additionally, by calling themselves an investment company and being registered in Delaware, that opens up a whole new can of worms in regards to "licensed" investment companies, etc.

This will be an interesting one.

Be careful if one chooses to "invest" in something with unreasonably high returns, that has affiliate commissions, and locks up your funds for a period of time.

History, if you look at it, has taught us many lessons.

Wishing you guys (CryptoClone) well, but let's see what time has to tell.

...I would NOT like to see any copyrighted content or material find its way into the current GUN or future GUN blockchain.  I do not think that we want our coin to have that reputation...

Yeah, this is a bad idea. As soon as you make this possible it will be a magnet for criminals. People insert some kiddie p0rn and the coin is done for. NO legitimate business will touch it with a 10ft pole after that. Not to mention the harm it will do to the 2A community...

Agreed for sure. There would need to be more than ample controls (checks and balances) to that whatever goes in the blockchain meets a minimum standard and is something that adds value to GUN and the 2A community.

As of now I think we're still open to ideas.  DefCad didn't want to work with us to store 3D files.  But nothing is stopping us from just storing 3D files without partnering with them.  We mentioned pegs, like Gun Gold, Gun Silver....etc...but again we need devs and resources-which could change as new blockchains come out.

Yes, we are - and those who can help bring them to reality as well.  Lots of good ideas, but I have yet to see any volunteers to actually implement something or point to  additional resources with unique talents.  Still like the idea of three coins/tokens tied together in a unique ecosystem, each with a different function in that ecosystem related to 2A.

One thing I would bring up, based on a previous comment.  I would NOT like to see any copyrighted content or material find its way into the current GUN or future GUN blockchain.  I do not think that we want our coin to have that reputation. In regards to advertising, I spent several thousand dollars on it last year in many outlets, with very little if any results.  Mostly uneducated newbies with no clue what we were.  The best results seem to come articles we paid to have written on GUN and also some blogs and posts in other forums.  All of you can do that now for Free I think. Meanwhile, keep the ideas churning please.

Make GUN Great Again!

Why don't we start advertising on Infowars and other sites??

Even if you don't always agree with them, it certainly has a 2A friendly audience.

For me the coin's future is a bit unknown though. What will changing to a token on a different blockchain do for the value of the coin? How would the transfer process work exactly? Exchanges might potentially drop it if it forks or transfers. How anonymous is the coin, compared to something like Verge, Monero or Zerocoin? How is the work load going to be distributed to the community instead of all on the dev's shoulders? These are questions we need to answer before "relaunch".

I think we do need to innovate while ensuring continuity of value.  We can't just change things up and screw the current holders.  But I think it's fair to say we definitely need to be adaptable, because right now, the only thing differentiating this coin is that it has gun in it's name.  It's no better than Monero, Zcash, etc... in fact it's worse, because only a handful of people mine it or use it.  I'm not crapping on the dev, he's doing what he can- I'm just telling the truth and wanted to kickstart a change.

I don't know, but I mine it. I hope it will be big.

why price jumped recently? any new development on the coin?
i would like to re-enter and buy again Smiley

I like to think that it is because of recent activity and discussion regarding GUN's future, ideas being brought up, and more folks realizing that this is not a dead coin...only sleeping.
The possible support by the 2A community could make this one a "no-brainer" looking back someday.
