I created a Guncoin.conf with all these node:

Still no luck!

Looking in the debug log I found this:


So what happens is that it takes only 3 adresses from seed.guncoin.info and in a infinite loop try to connect to them, it doesn't look in my .conf even if I launch the applicatyion with -conf fullpath to Guncoin.conf

I have no problem with the wallet - I use it for solo mining and pool mining too, and my wallet is always sync-d. This coin works well and it is stabile.

You may want to update/change or add a .conf file which you will find/can make in the Guncoin folder which would be under your "User name here"/AppData/Roaming/ folder.

In order to make that file, you can start with a regular .txt file then change the extension to ".conf" if need be.

Place that file in the Guncoin folder, then restart the wallet.

The problem is not let it sync but is to let it start sync! How can I add some node to the wallet? Because waiting doesn't work.

Otherwise mining guncoin is useless coz is impossible to send it to a wallet...

Well, again and again, those are interesting, but not novel or descriptive ideas - I still do not see a lot of people stepping up with any hard direction to follow or firm support - just ideas.  That in itself is fine and no one is in a hurry to plunge off in a new direction - as long as the coin is being mined, the coin is fine.  I have seen no signs of any pump and dump with this coin.  Going from 10 to 32 and back to 21 is not much of a pump or dump for sure and laughable for anyone to think so.

I can disclose that based on a few positive emails I have received in the past month, we do have some interested supporters and there are a few things in the works.  Whether they come to fruition, I cannot say as they are not all in my control.  Am I going to disclose what or when these things might occur - no again. Until I see it work or can touch it, it does not count......And for sure, I would not buy or sell based on these comments.  

That being said, whether I agree with TheGeneral or not, it does not matter.  He is willing to step up and throw some ideas out there - hopefully for discussion by more than just myself and another lurker.  I have no desire to spend any time or resources on any idea here unless I get the impression that it is a positive step forward for the GUN community and there is support and hopefully some resources there to help - NOT just to make money for someone. PLEASE keep the constructive and realistic ideas coming and churning.

You should make sure you have some nodes to connect to.  Additionally, sometime it can take a while to sync - just leave it and see if the connections start to appear.  The coin has been around for a while, it is not going to sync in just a few minutes.....

Any ideas for the future?  I think Bancor will fail to get traction.  Crappy team, greedy team- same guys behind the failed AppCoin and Mastercoin.  Hard to judge them that harshly, because our coin is failing too.

Again, I think we are back to ETH or another blockchain.  Again, given where the crypto world is heading- there is no love for coins where just 5 people are mining and diluting ICO investors before they pump.  Let's do the evolution/pump now...LOL

We need real world scenarios and use.  We can't just have like 10 people mining the coin.  Anyone can rip open source code, list on Cryptopia and have 10 people mining a coin with $20 daily volume.  It's time to thing big and move beyond this small thinking.

Our competitive advantage isn't trying to outcompete the REAL blockchains out there.  Screw trying neoscrypt, PoW or PoS.  Let's put the coin on a mainline blockchain where better and bigger dev teams do that work for us.  We should focus on adoption.

Ha. I'm thinking for solo mining. And for testing if i'm being f*cked on the existing pools.
Perhaps open for a few friends.  If/When i find some with that idea of fun.

Until now i got a virtual machine, a "lamp", up and running so first step is taken.

For now. I get a good idea how it's done on the pool i'm joining. 2000 Gun a day and it's going plus on both bitcoins and dollars last time i looked. That's were i find the chase.

Depends on what equipment that he has available to him and what hash rate he can get it to of course.  May be better to get some on a regular basis in a pool than none if your hash rate is too small though.

Easy and simple - you should try it, I think GUN solo mining for you more profitable. I tried it with 35 kh/s and found 3 blocks/24 hour.

I have no idea - was just glad to get it out of the thread.  I am all for free speech, but not sure that spam falls under that. 

Price has doubled on Cryptopia over the past month against BTC and held steady (not a pump for sure) while the price of BTC almost doubled as well.  Additionally, we have a few very good ideas being tossed around for options moving forward.
