LOL, experiment is concluded.. 

I bought a 7" tablet for tuning the EFI on my drag sled..  It's a quad core, full win8 (vs the phone version), HP.

With spotty wifi coverage, it finally finished downloading the blockchain, so I enabled the internal miner.  Set to 3 threads hoping that it doesn't burn power faster than the charge cord can handle, and VOILA!!!  1.442 kh/s!!

Hey all, the starter on my truck crapped on me when I went to leave work yesterday, so I didn't made it to the post office.  Will have to go this afternoon.

Excellent news !  Always good to hear from a satisfied miner and longterm user.  In regards, to the GuncoinAds site, just a heads up.  All new signups and ads require my approval.  That is not a problem, but all the notifications to me on these continually go to my spam bucket and I can easily miss them.  So I suggest that you get your accounts signed up in advance to make sure I see them and get them approved.  If you find yourself waiting on an approval feel free to hit the contact page on the main website to remind us.  Regardless, thanks for buying the stickers.  We have the 3" iron on patches in and will be getting them up on the ads site within a few days also.

Thanks for the updates , we guncoin miners and long term holders appreciate your tenacity. I ordered some guncoin stickers for my gun enthusiast friends and I down in Texas. I also wanted to add that I have friends that are gun enthusiasts and I talked to them about guncoin and the guncoinads website. After a discussion , my esteemed collegue decided that he is going to come over this weekend and bring alot of gun parts and other various things to put on the website. So hopefully by Saturday night there will be much more there !!! Have a great day everyone.

As mentioned in our previous post, Guncoin users and merchants can now accept Guncoin (GUN) as payment for their products or services with a fully automated API plugin on thier website or point of service.  This is great news for those looking for a reliable payment system and a stable and technologically current crypto currency.  Now, through CointoPay.com, you can use their great payment API, to accept GUN direct from your website.  GUN now has a simple mining solution for anyone with a computer to be able to mine GUN and places to trade it.  We also now have a legitimate means for anyone to be able to use GUN as a payment mechanism with virtually no effort.  

Bottom line - GUN now offers a reliable total end-to-end alternative payment solution. Thanks for your continued support of GUN !

Thought I would catch you up with some Guncoin updates.  Like I have said before, just because you do not see us posting here does not mean things are not happening.......  

1) In the past week, we have a member who has some great GUN stickers offered for sale on GunCoinAds.com.  These are CHEAP, he is selling them basically at cost and it is a CHEAP way that all our users can easily help promote Guncoin.  Simply buy a set, slap one on your bumper and the others on your gun or ammo case and visit your local gun range and give them our website URL when they ask and they will.  Keep in mind, the idea behind crypto coins is decentralization.  In other words, our success is NOT totally dependent on me, although I have a big part of it.  Everything any of you can do to support or promote GUN, helps us grow that much faster.  A member of our community has taken the first step and we honestly hope he sells out of the things in a few weeks.
2) I now have 100 custom Guncoin 3" iron-on patches.  The quality is much better than I expected. Simply get a generic camo hat at Cabelas and iron on the logo - you are all set.  What better way to promote GUN.  We will have the ads up on GunCoinAds in a few days.  Watch for details.
3) On the Users Guide, we have been asking for info, feedback or anything you thought needed to be included and had virtually NIL responses. We were also waiting for #4 below to be a done deal.  Now that all that is taken care of, we hope to have the updated users guide out before the end of the year.
4) We now have a legitimate payments mechanism for accepting GUN on websites.  You heard it right, through a VERY credible third party network, you can now accept GUN using a customizable API on your website for your services.  Checkout http://www.cointopay.com and you will see GUN as one of the recent additions today along with IPC (Neoscrypt) and GXG (X11).

We will provide more details on all of these over the next few days.  I think now you see that Guncoin has a technologically current coin, trades on multiple exchanges, mined in multiple pools and can be used by any small business and a legitimate form of payment.   Is that progress or what???

More good news for Guncoin - we expect to have a 3rd party payment system available by Tuesday at the latest for Guncoin merchants to be able to accept Guncoin for sales of their products or services.  This is a very credible group that already provides the service for many other coins.  This will represent a huge step forward for Guncoin in moving towards our end-users accepting Guncoin for their businesses. 

The Guncoin patches that I ordered, have been shipped and should be here in a few days.  I will get pictures and get them on the GuncoinAds.com website as soon as possible.

You can see by the price in the listing, there's not a lot of room for profit.  They are priced for you to put them on everything that you will have around where you shoot, so your shootin' buddies will see and ask you what it is.

I approved the final design for the patches.  Not as colorful and crisp as the sticker, but they are sewn with twill edges.  Still look pretty good - I ordered 100 of them and will have them on GuncoinAds.com in time for the holidays for your gun enthusiast friends.

That yellow sticker pops on the dark background, but the black one will be difficult to read in traffic without using a larger font.

Ok, well for CPU mining, just use the wallet to mine.

For newer AMD (and Nvidia although they will get really poor speeds) the users would need to update to the latest stable version which is SGminer ver 5.1 with the wolf kernel.  Also the 14.2 driver files need to be in the folder.  Yes, I know this sounds weird, but installing the latest AMD drivers (14.9 or 14.11), and having older driver files in the SGminer folder will give considerably better speeds than any other way.

You can see why my recommendation was to wait, there is not a single way to do mining..  If the user has new and old GPU's they will need to run 2 different mining apps to run them.

Got a couple stickers put on my truck today since it was above freezing!!

Understand - may need an interim version that is more current though - it still shows us as Scrypt....

Best to wait until the Neoscrypt code stabilizes.  Then add the proper mining setup procedure once, instead of changing it several times until the bugs are all worked out and all the optimizations completed.

I do not think I ever got any feedback on the Users Guide in regards to possible items to include in the update.....any comments???
