From the discussion above it means I cant sell HAT o any other exchange. Because right now I have the new Hat and not the old anymore.

I hope that HAT will be listed on some bigger exchange as soon as possible because I see that IDEX had some problems (they say it was a DDoS attack) and they have disabled trading for all tokens including HAT. The price and value of token would really benefit from listing on another exchange. KuCoin is pretty good exchange to start with

For the ones asking about the gas price: check https://ethgasstation.info/ directly before you send and use at least the "Gas Price SafeLow" value as gas price (gwai)

In MEW, when I try to send old HAT tokens to 0xc3972ac283b3a7a56125674631a5c254f7f373cf, I've got this error message :
error_36) Input address is not checksummed. What does that mean?
Can i use the same contract with uppercases like the one that appears on ethplorer for example: 0xc3972Ac283B3a7A56125674631a5C254f7f373CF
Another thing, by default the gas limit is fixed to 36851, it's ok or not?

Received the same error but it sent and i checked in the pool and they arrived:
You should be fine just keep an eye on it and it should disappear from your wallet. I did the same thing and received same error.

I hope the swap will happen enough quickly because I saw that there are a lot of transactions waiting to be confirmed.

Quick Question for Anyone: Do we need to create the HAT 12 decimal Contract Address: 0x9002d4485b7594e3e850f0a206713b305113f69e
in our MEW wallet prior to the arrival of our new HAT tokens or it really doesn't matter as we can add the name in anytime with the token identifications to view it?

It doesn't matter when you add custom token to MyEtherWallet, but until you do that you won't be able to see the balance of the new tokens in MEW. However, you can always check your address in etherscan.io

Unfortunately for those of you that sent new tokens to the old address because you thought they were old. You are SOL -- nothing the Hawala team can do for you. They are stuck in a Wallet that they don't have access too. See the link provided. Basically burned tokens at this point.

I followed video instructions and the transaction was sent in a few minutes but new token is 0 after added in MEW.
I set GAS to 30 Gwei. Is it too low?
You can always check Tx hash that you got when you sent the old HAT tokens. If that transaction has gone trough, you'll get new tokens. Or you can send Tx hash to some of the admin in the Telegram chat and they will tell you if you did everything like you were suppose to.

No problem. I have seen on the Telegram that some people took over 24 hours for the new HAT tokens to arrive. If the Tx was successful, than you're OK. Also, if you will be waiting for more than 24 hours for the new tokens, then go to the Telegram chat and contact @carletto94 with your wallet address.
