Hectorians! We are pleased to announce that TOR IS NOW AVAILABLE ON JULWALLET!
What is JulWallet?
For those that do not know, Julwallet is a decentralized finance system that was built to prioritize and cater to everyone with a cell phone connected to the internet. Their goal is to allow anyone in the world to have self-custody over their own crypto and use it as the available payment solution globally!
How does it work?
A user will download Julwallet, setup/confirm KYC, then you can deposit your desired crypto (e.g TOR)
Once transactions are initiated, a Signer Wallet is used to sign the transaction provided by JulWallet. (Covers both for payments and withdrawals)
The payment will then go through a master account, through a DEX swap to convert to USDC. Once converted through the master wallet, USDC is exchanged into Fiat. That Fiat is then transferred to the vendor.
What are some of the payment challenges they are solving?
Security! - $3.3B was lost due to credit/debit card fraud in 2020.
Centralized control of funds
Narrow geographical access to crypto debit cards
Disjointed exchange rates globalls
Extensive bank wire processing time
You can now begin purchasing goods and services in $TOR with JulWallet!
This is an amazing achievement for the utility of TOR, our natively Fantom Stable coin! As Hector Finance pushes TOR into the direction of payment utility, TOR will begin to rapidly become more known, increasing its utility in the stable coin world!
Notes:
The JulCard has a monthly fee of $6.99 USD. At the first payment, it will be deducted automatically after 30 days. The blockchain fees are minimal due to being on Fantom. Typically just a few cents.
The JulWallet contracts have been audited by Github. You can go to their website to see those audits if you wish.
Hectorians,
This is a message from Prometheus. Some of you will be aware I’ve been absent for a while from social channels and the community in general. For the last few weeks I have been working through personal and health-related difficulties which have required my whole attention and have made it impossible for me to work effectively. I thank all of you for the messages of support and concern that I’ve seen. It’s wonderful to have a community of people who are so caring and considerate.
Over the last few weeks it has been made clear to me that there are some large changes I need to make in my life for the sake of preserving my health. As of right now, the health concerns I am experiencing are showing little to no sign of improvement and I cannot give a date at which I will be able to return. The project and community are of the utmost importance to the team and myself and therefore it is in the best interests for me to step aside and free up resources to be better allocated to the continued development of this wonderful ecosystem we have all been creating together.
I will be watching with great excitement as this community continues to develop something truly special. I am proud of every single one of you, from community members, to moderators, to art team members, to developers, to the core team, to adjacent supporting roles. Your work is exceptional in every way and I am humbled to have been a part of it. It has truly been one of the highlights of my career and of my life and it is heartbreaking to be stepping aside, but the team and community are second to none, and I have absolute confidence that there are many great things on the horizon.
From the start it has never been me alone. Everything that this project is, everything it has achieved, it has all been the result of a joint effort from many people:
Leonida, one of the most hard working, talented, and passionate people I have ever had the privilege of working alongside. You will not find a more passionate Hectorian.
Zeus, a skilled negotiator, level-headed advisor and a great friend.
Nero, a diligent, hard-working professional who always goes the extra mile.
Agenor, pragmatic and ambitious. His confidence and determination brings strength to us all.
Poseidon, extremely diligent, always ready to rise to a challenge, a fast learner. A fantastic co-worker and a wonderful friend.
The development team, whose intelligence and problem solving abilities are simply awe-inspiring.
The art team. We all know the meme - art is magic to me, and these people are magicians unlike any other.
The moderators. Suffice to say I love each and every one of you. As I have always said - your excellence in your work allows everyone else to focus on their work without worrying.
All of our partners and support roles, who make what we do possible and allow us to continue to expand into new areas and to meet new people.
And finally..
The Hectorians themselves.
A more wonderful community of likeminded, intelligent, caring people does not exist. Sticking together through thick and thin, offering feedback and solutions, even sharing memes. It has been nothing short of an honour to have spent this time with so many of you.
My official accounts will become inactive and I have already joined the communities with alternate accounts. I will always be here.
The project will continue to march forward as it has in my recent absence.
How wonderful it has been to work alongside people towards common goals. People who are passionate and excited to be on the journey. People who make things that matter. How wonderful it feels to know how bright the future of the project is.
Forever a Hectorian,
Prometheus
