Hectorians! Today we did some very impressive buy-back and burns!

We have buy-back/burned a total of ~25,000 tokens, valued at approx ~$380,000,

Since the all time high supply of $HEC, at 3,530,000, we have implemented deflationary measures including buy-back/burns, $TOR minting buy-backs and reduction of APY. At the moment, we are now under 3,200,000 for the first time since we implemented these measures. The direction is clear, a decrease in supply, which will dramatically reduce dilution. We are on the road to become sub 3M supply, and it's bullish to see we are almost there!

Hello Hectorians!
Before that any HIP takes place, we want to discuss with you about HEC LPs.
We heard many of you asking why we have 2 LPs, and why we're not "merging" into a sigle one.
Well, there are pros and cons to have 2 different LPs:

PROS
-You can find HEC on the 2 Popular DEXes of Fantom
-It's harder to "dip" too much, since the LP is "double"
-It's safer to have 2 LPs istead of 1 (in case of regulations, hacks, idk..)

CONS
-Arbitraging could be profitable in rare occasions of BIG buys
-Arbitraging could "kill" eventually uptrends
-The buybacks got "half power" since obviously arbitrage takes place
-It's harder to rank on DEXtools with 2 pairs. The buying pressure could be "split".


What's the best thing to do then? I don't have an answer, that's why I would like to hear from you all, and EVENTUALLY put online an HIP in the next days.
What are the possible things we could do IF we remove the HEC/USDC LP?

a) we just convert the USDC into DAI and we deposit the LP amount into the Spookys DAI LP
b) we burn the HEC from that LP and we use he USDC for another thing - like:
--b1) we put USDC into the Treasury
--b2) we put USDC into the Bank
--b3) we put USDC into the TOR pool
--b4) we mint TOR with these USDC
--b5) a mix of the options b1-b4

And obviously there is the option to let everything as it now.

For reference:
Spooky DAI LP is around 2.5M $ of HEC and 2.5m $ of DAI
Spirit USDC LP is around 2.46 $ of HEC and 2.46 $ of USDC

If the pool is a bit unbalanced (right now - in favor of TOR) you get more LP tokens by staking DAI/USDC than minting TOR and stacking.
Plus: to protect the peg, the minting process stops when the TOR in the Curve pool are exceeding 60% of the pool.

Most of you probably already knew this, but worth to repeat it

Hectorians! HIP-023 $40m investment into new ETH Curve gauge for variable 30% APR

As part of our growth strategy we invest parts of our treasury into yield bearing gauges such as those found on Curve.

We propose to remove $20m from the old 17% curve we are currently using and combine that with another $20m from our treasury to invest a total of $40m into a gauge which varies but can provide around 30% APR.

HIP-009 on the allocation of $5,000,000 from the DAI treasury to perform 10 different medium-high risk investments (500k each) over the coming weeks passed! Over 96% was in favor.

Background of the previous HIP-009

Our Market cap/RF treasury is incredibly healthy. The Treasury willl continue to be used for relatively safe investments with investment contracts. We aim for investments with stable yields of 20-25%. However, we asked for input from our community on 2022 plans. A common suggestion was to allocate a small part of our Treasury (5M proposed - less than 5%) into a few medium-high risk investments. Choosing the right projects, with the help of the community, will help us to potentially make great returns from which our protocol will benefit.

As such we are launching the TIP governance system. A TIP is a Treasury Investment Proposal.

As you all know, our goal is to keep the rebase model intact on a sustainable way. Ideally, more HEC is burned than minted. Buybacks are done in various ways: staggered LP buybacks (see article), direct buybacks from the treasury (if required), buybacks with revenue from the subproject(s) such as Hector Bank, and buy backs from revenue of treasury investments.

HIP-017 ended. More than 88% voted in favor of a dynamic APY ranging from 200-1500%, set by the team.

We will continue to find the perfect balance between a sustainable APY in this range and our goal of being deflationary.

TOR will contribute a great deal, as TOR can only be minted when a user burns HEC.
