I agree. The good thing with Boomstarter is that this is opening a bigger platform for crowdfunding and more projects can be funded because of this. We need something like this opening more ways for good proposals and for backers to have a platform they can conveniently use anytime. This can be making a win-win situation for all stakeholders. By the way...may I know: What are the measures taken or already in place to weed out scammers from using the platform?

I feel bounty programs are not like the olden days now. Most of them are just bots or multis. And projects are not getting as much as promotion in the crypto community.

Bounties are just not as exclusive as they used to be in the past. Some time ago there were a few high profile projects you could choose from, but now it's hard to get an overview and distinguish good from bad projects.

Now a lot depends on both luck and the market.
If earlier it was enough to simply decide where to throw simply by looking at the team's experience, now even this is not enough. The project is not the first and probably still will be similar.
