I have looked at the whitepapers, and I still don't understand why you would like to own dimcoins (where is the benefit of owning these coins)?
Tokens are quite obvious why you would want to own them (holders with more than 50 tokens, receive 30% return of transfer fees from dimcoins, dim-currencies and (cryptonised assets?) inside the network), but these dimcoins are e.g. non-fractional and also I can't find anything relating to "positive ROI". (Except 0.1% cash-back of all trading done with dimcoins inside the network.)
So I get cash-back from trading a non-currency with non-fractional properties, which is not supposed to be used as a currency (according to whitepaper), why even own it/what are the other benefits?
The dim-currencies (e.g. DIM EUR, DIM USD) have all their points, except it requires someone to buy them at the exchanges for the system to fully work (DIM Ecosystem).
I'm new to NEM(XEM) blockchain-technology, my questions may be out-of-order, but this is what I interpreted when looking over the whitepapers quickly.
DIMCOIN is the cryptocurrency of the DIM:Ecosystem, if you want to trade for example ethereum to USD, and you want to use the DIM: Ecosystem, then you'll have to buy the DIMCOIN, then the DIMCOIN would be easily exchanged for a DIM currency, and this one would be able to cash out using a debit card, a DIM currency won't be in the exchanges, the DIM currency is just a criptonized fiat currency, in order for the DIM:Ecosystem to receive fiat currencies, or assets, or commodities, these must be cryptonised, thus becoming digital, so a DIM:USD its just USD, but inside the ecosystem, you don't buy Dim:USD, your USD is recognised as DIM:USD and is still yours to trade once inside the ecosystem, then now if you want bitcoins, you must trade DIM:USD for DIMCOIN, so then you'll be able to exchange DIMCOIN for BITCOIN, if you want to buy ethereum with EUR, first you need to change your EUR for DIM:EUR currency, then you change this to DIMCOIN (inside the ecosystem there is no fee for this), and then you can get ethereum in exchanges, as you can see, DIMCOIN is not a cryptocurrency meant to pump and dump, is just another tool for the system to work, is like a bridge of the cryptoworld to the global market, the DIMCOIN can be worth just 0.1 USD, and that would be fine, can be more, can be less, it doesn't matter, people would want DIMCOIN not for its value, but for its usefulness in this big ecosystem; with DIMCOIN you can trade fiat currencies, stock market, commodities, equities, securities, any kind of asset, and whatever you want in the global financial system, not just altcoins.
