I have sent you 50000 coins, which is my personal action, worth 75 CNY, and we work together for the infinitecoin.

Thank you for that, I just noticed that my script was reporting a higher balance, so I came here to find out who donated.  Smiley

I have to do some more testing and tidying up of the script, but I think it should be possible to run this on multiple servers. With enough diversity it will be just like the network itself is rewarding 100 IFC every block.

Who else is running an IFC daemon on a unix server?

This is an example of how the auto-faucet works:

https://prohashing.com/explorer/Infinitecoin/e601a4a74393085c9ab4332ead24532515fa2694ebdb6d267d952bcde52e9694/

#1 (faucet transaction)
- 10,000 IFC sent back to own address (plus 100 IFC fee)
- 0.01963149 IFC change

#2 (coinbase reward)
- 0.00000011 IFC native block reward (dust)
- 100 IFC faucet fee

Total miner reward: 100.00000011 IFC

Does the wallet work?

I always had problems syncing the wallet.

And do you think this coin can reach $0.01?

I wanna start mining now! What miner should I use, where can I get a wallet and is the Explorer mentioned earlier today working?

Is anyone running the headless client (infinitecoind) on a unix server? I may be able to come up with a script that rewards miners by adding fees to dummy transactions.

Okay, I have a basic script written now. If the mempool is empty (no other pending transactions), it sends funds back to itself (which includes a fee that the miner gets) then it waits for 2 minutes before doing the next check.

Trouble is the client is choosing to include a 100 IFC fee regardless of what I set the tx fee to be. I'm not sure if it's because my balance is small and fragmented or whether there is some other reason. I'll keep it going for now but with a small balance and losing 100 IFC each time I'm going to run out of funds in about 5 or 6 hours.

If you have a miner turn it on NOW! You will be seeing 100.xxx rewards right now.

If you want to help fund the "auto faucet" -> i86R5mEaP7SFGfuGhzvzguuRH4c98AefzQ  ... even just 10k or 20k will help.

Thanks for the headsup! now still waiting for the wallet to sync. Been 3 years away Wink
Is there still a working block explorer for IFC anywhere? The ones from page 1 seem all be down.
Also anyone willing to elaborate whther IFC is dead or not, especially regarding that 51% attack and de-listing from exchanges?

We also need to update CMC with the circulating supply information. It is equal to total supply, I know, but CMC will require a live link to the current supply. Where can I get this info to update CMC?

Still need to figure out fees though. If the client repeatedly sends funds back to itself the unspent outputs could become fragmented, and the client may end up doing something silly like sending 100 IFC worth of dust with a 5000 IFC fee.

It's a unix 'sh' script so it won't work on Windows.

Are any perm nodes running unix/Linux?

I'm going to say it again: mining is vital to the security of the coin. Actually it's the only thing that secures the blockchain. Right now anyone can 51% attack the coin because almost no one is mining it. That should be the first thing addressed.

Adding more nodes will help with the resilience of the peer to peer network (helping wallets connect) but it will not secure the blockchain in any way.

我们知道您说得,建立更多的节点只是我们的第一步,建立节点只是为了更快更多的网络确认;我们建的节点同时也在挖矿,等到达1000个网络节点;我们第二步是组织挖矿。
We know you're, build more nodes is our first step, a node only to more network nodes to confirm; we build also in mining, reached 1000 nodes; the second step is to organize our mining.
IFC Unlimited Global Distributed Node (100 nodes deployed on the first target) 2017.12.16

The more nodes, the faster the synchronization. The faster the transfer, the more secure distributed among different investors and fans. Avoid 51% attacks to the maximum

No, that's not how it works. Nodes relay transactions, but the miners and their proof-of-work solutions are what secure the network. The more hash rate, the higher the difficulty, and the harder it is to 51% attack.

Current hash rate is a tiny 65 kilohash/sec (difficulty 0.0005). That is really, really tiny. (Basically a single mid range GPU or a fast multi-core CPU). Adding nodes will not change this. The network can be attacked very easily.

You need to get people mining the coin, not just adding nodes. I've mentioned a couple of ideas for incentives previously.
