Why do I have to update BEFORE the hard fork? Is there no possibility to update after the hard fork because I have stored all of my IOP Coins in a cold wallet...
In case you update the Wallet after the Hardfork, then you might need to resync the blockchain. You only have to avoid spending coins with the old wallet.

2) Yes, there will be an upgrade now and the source codes will soon be published and opened in github under a free GPL licence, supervised and protected by a foundation (Decentralized Society) and managed by the IOP Ventures company. - You can write a proposal and post it in your designated channel.
- after that, you are good to go.

- Tell as many people as you know about your plans, and invite them to our discord server, so they can vote for your report.
- If you are in the top 31, you will receive a mining licence for the upcoming month.
- There is also an additional amount of 14.000 IOP that will be divided among the top 31 best chapters, according to the pareto principle
