If no one is capable of proving that the anonymity actually works, then these coins are worthless from the anonymity standpoint.

Many people have proved that it does work, and you haven't given one piece of evidence that it doesn't.
So quoting you back, these coins are worth it from the anonymity standpoint.

I personally think that the anonymity is extremely important thing and that it shouldn't be abused (for example, for pump&dumps because of anonymity features that in reality don't provide any anonymity).
