Thanks for the update wr104. Will be watching.

@jbkel3496,

Since your blockchain download was blotched by the bug in 0.6.0, before you run 0.6.1 for the first time, please rename the region0 folder to region0.bak so, the Wallet 0.6.1 can begin downloading it from scratch.

New Wallet v0.6.1 mandatory upgrade.

Changes since v0.5.1

 - Network rule change: Block size limit will increase to 10Mb after block 150,000 is mined.
 - Because of the new network rule, older Wallet versions 0.5.x will become obsolete at block 125,000. Users must upgrade their Wallets to v0.6.1 (or later) before block 125,000 is mined (~70 days from today).
 - Picked up important network fixes from Bitcoin source v0.9.5.
 - Upgraded OpenSSL to version 1.0.1o to address FREAK and Logjam vulnerabilities in Windows Wallets. (Linux/OSX must upgrade OpenSSL in the OS).
 - Upgraded Boost to v1.58 and protobuf to v2.61.
 - Added the option to enable DHE cipher suites for RPC SSL. See new kryptohash.conf file.

Also, cgminer-khc v3.7.8b for Windows is available with updated DLLs for CURL and OpenSSL.  The cgminer.exe binary remains unchanged.

@wr104

I take it you pulled the v0.6.0 since the git shows a version 5.1

Any ways why so long on the new block to take effect? Just curious as to why 70 days and not say 30.

The 70 days is to give enough time for everybody to upgrade their Wallet to the version that will allow larger block size.

I'm working on 0.6.1.  I already fixed the bug related to the download/re-index of the blockchain but, I want to run more tests before I release it.

I believe I have everything setup correctly under Windows 8.1. I launch the wallet and it tells me no block source available. I have 3 active connections. Here is how I have the .conf file setup. I am also using an alternate directory off of my SSD drive. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

I'm looking into it.

Edit: Sorry for the bug. I'm going to have to release 0.6.1.

Nice job wr104, works well but would be good to be able to exit the app to conserve phone resources and the 'safety' gui is white text on background.

I'll look into it.

Guys, quick update.

I'm working on a new Wallet 0.6.0 that increases the block size limit to 10Mb.  Unlike Bitcoin, we are not even close to the size limit but, it is better to take care of this issue today than waiting until it becomes a problem down the road.
To ensure a smooth transition, we'll be using the same trick we did when we successfully transitioned the network to the new PoW algorithm earlier this year.  The Network will only allow larger size after block 150,000 is mined and old Wallets 0.5.x will become obsolete after block 125,000.

I'm also picking up important fixes from Bitcoin 0.9.5 code base and I'm updating OpenSSL and other libraries for the Windows version of the Wallet to take care of FREAK and Logjam vulnerabilities.  For the Linux and OSX Wallets, be sure you upgrade your Libraries in the OS.

New Android App version 1.02 available here: http://www.kryptohash.org/files/

Important: If you have Android wallet version 1.01, before you install this new version, you need to transfer all your coins out of the Android wallet then, uninstall version 1.01.

This new version 1.02 is release candidate. If you find any problems, please report it here. Thanks

Quick update on the Android Wallet.

I have a new version 1.02 that I will make available later today.

Thing is that due to some important changes, this new version 1.02 is not backward compatible with the version 1.01 that you guys have been testing so, please transfer all your coins out of the old Android wallet 1.01 to another wallet of your choice and then, uninstall version 1.01.

I'll post an update as soon as version 1.02 becomes available.

Something else, when i mine on the wallet and there is no work available my hashrate drops but when work is available it never gets back up to my original hashrate.
How come ? And is that fixable.

I've noticed that too.  This happens because cgminer is in a loop checking for new work available and when in this loop, it does not update the hashrate.

Instead of fixing this display issue in cgminer, I'm going to have a script that keeps the network "working" just like nonce-pool used to do.
