my friend send before the starting block  Grin

when will he be refunded?

if you sent before it was able to accept it wont transact and the ether will never really leave your/his wallet.

47 pages sounds like a lot but you only need the instructions for the wallet you use. Used Myetherwallet, worked fine, took me 5 minutes.

One note,  the balance  shows me xxx00000000000  like so many decimals and not how many LUN. So I invested 4 ETH, I have 176 LUN, but the balance shows 1760000??00000   so I wouldn't know how much LUN I had (1.76  17.6  1760 could have been possibilities) unlesss I manually calculate it. But I guess that's fine cuz people who can follow the steps are not retarded.

it says 44 lun/eth (don't know how they got to that number) so you should know exactly which number of LUN is 'correct' relative to how much ETH you sent!!!

I can't seem to read the instructions from my phone...

Might need to wait until I can get to the laptop.

Just don't sell out before I can get in... ,)

And since this is a token creation, I assume exchanges will follow the crowd sale?

I think for the visuals you need to actually download the pdf, not sure if that's your issue though.

IMHO I think this is too expensive for a "wiki" on blockchain. Will keep watching though.

I thought so as well, was the number arbitrary?...but in ether case (see what I did? =P) the markets will remain illogical longer than you can remain solvent. So I bet with the crowd...and this project actually has a super-team and an idea with substantial potential. Many of these ICO's have insane potential but the teams suck...or the team is really awesome but the coin/token has 0 substance.

These guys might have the winning combo of good idea, good team, and good followers!!!!

More than 6k ETH in just 45 minutes so this ICO gonna be huge people are showing their love to this project.

I watched the thing skyrocket from around $40k to 240 before I had to go do house stuff xD

Too expensive? But doesn't it depend on how many tokens you get.  44/1.1million up to 44/11million of ALL LUN for only 1 ETH!  That's 0.004%/0.0004%!!!

Oh wait that doesn't sound like a lot, you're right, it's expensive.

Lots of failed transactions with 'Bad jump destination' for the ICO so far. Wonder why.

hmmmmm before like 10 minutes ago it looked like majority had made it.

Maybe these people aren't following the gas rule?

Due to longer block time, the crowdsale will start at approximately 16:30 UTC

I also think it would be little delay due to long block time but we are waiting for this crowsale get started and to get bonus for me as early bird.

Not sure if there is Early Bird? Didn't they say it's no bonus just the min/max til it's over?

Yes of course you're right, its not very difficult really.

I actually do have at least a vague understanding of what is happening in each step, and I've done similar things before - at least this time I used myetherwallet so I didn't have the hassle of trying to sync the chain, which I remember being a very long thing even quite soon after Ethereum launched.

But I still find it frustrating just how user-unfriendly Ethereum is. Its not enjoyable to use, for me, and as you say it puts a lot of people off which I think will be a problem both for Ethereum itself and potentially for projects using it if they don't manage to hide that in the background.

I agree I thought of this last night, the real hurdle is getting NORMAL everyday cash (or worse credit) lovers to be able to use this...I think that might be partially what 'Status' is planning to do...making a user-friendly mobile ethereum network? I've got analysis paralysis so badly these past few weeks but I think that's correct. I think it's actually FAIRLY intuitive (as an amateur computer person...like very amateur) but it bugs semi-frequently which can also then make people think the whole things freaking broken. I even got the 'Wrong Password' like 3 times today but since I know now my phrases are without doubt correct, I just kept spamming it until it unlocked and sent.

With the chain issue I did some extensive searching and the best method I found (worked for me until last like 200k blocks which took for freaking ever) was deleting the chain data I believe, and letting it restart...it like turbo'd through 1.8 mil or whateve the number was until the last few hundredK blocks.

btw is anyone watching the contract balance in real time?!?! haha I don't think they're gonna have a problem meeting their minimum lets just say

OMG - a 47 page book just for instructions on participating in a crowdsale. This is why I don't like Ethereum.

That intimidation factor is why many people miss out...be glad ETH has a nice UI easy to follow one of these genius' directions.

honestly wasn't hard though....most of the '47 page book' is separated into a few, different methods. So if you can handle reading a table of contents....scroll to the part that pertains to you...in my case MEW and just copy/paste the address and abi or whatever it's called.

I don't understand MOST of this stuff but then again just 2 years ago I wouldn't have been able to comprehend blockchain xD

There are already tons of ETH being sent...someone put in 91(?) or so...that's not a small chunk to invest into a potential winning project.

I think this project has so much potential and clearly people with more money think so as well  Cool

Thanks for the follow on Twitter, I like this project and I'm wondering is this something like steem, but for wiki contributors? If it's not that then my apologies this was the impression I was able to draw from it.

Please note my personal feelings are not an endorsement of this crowdsale the concept seems interesting

not sure about steem but this IIRC is going to be a 'Pedia'.

Most likely starting with any data from wikipedia that is verified, and going from there.

Contributors get the tokens (basically proof of credit in the contract) as incentive for contributing and peer reviewing...

Many, many hurdles from how do you know a contributor is knowledgeable (accredited does NOT necessarily mean they have a respectful grasp of any topic) to the network effect....but the network effect will be easily solved if they get the project really moving, and their team and pre-project is so well-worked and professional that I can almost guarantee it's not a scam. Not that anyone said it was, but that's a huge caveat with ICO's you know?

This one has (to me) 0% chance of being scam...that said it's much harder to gauge the potential success...especially when the tokens are started off ~$1.00!!!

I think it has YUUUUGE potential though as do many others...the future of this planet is blockchain or a derivative and anything that can be verified and incentivized through BC tech will be eventually. super exciting, kinda the potential missing link to getting 'true' information listed...because you get incentive!!

Steem is Reddit-like. This is like Wikipedia but better.
What are Lunyr tokens (LUN)?
LUN are used to place ads on the platform. They function as part of the incentive system to drive contribution, peer review, and dispute and quality resolution. LUN follow the ERC20 token standard.

We've provided instructions for beginners and different Ethereum clients so it looks long. The actual instructions for each section are shorter than that.
