No It didn't. I thought of downloading the "new" wallet in addition to scraping the local blockchain. I downloaded the wallet from what I thought was the good source but now I have the wallet version 0.8.584-0-g6ce1e1e-beta which seems stuck at block 35759.

I downloaded wallet from memorycoin.org/files/, not the big button but below, where it said

v0.8.54b for Microsoft Windows Hard-Fork [Only this build will work after block 35720]
Hard-Fork posted by Delinquency

I didn't check for the wallet version right after download, I checked now. If I am not losing it, then the downloaded version is not v0.8.54b but 0.8.584-0-g6ce1d1d-beta as stated above.

Can someone shine some light on that. I would appreciate -

1) the link to the place where v0.8.54b can be found
2) clarification for Windows users where the correct place for the wallet.dat is (there are two now, Memorycoin and Memory Coin)

[EDIT] Now, after I wrote that, it seems that the blockchain download got unstuck, I am only 6 weeks behind and progressing.
[EDIT2] And, Iam up to date, the wallet is in agreement with the mmc blockchain.

From https://mmc-square.com/support-help/4/not-receiving-coins/191/ it seems I will need to redownload the blockchain. I think that will do it. Thanks.

Thanks for that, in the meantime, the wallet is up to date.

EDIT: The wallet is 0.8.55.0-unk-beta. Should I download 0.8.54b even though it has a lower version number?
I have not received much MMC from the pools in the last 9 weeks, much less than expected.

Well, the wallet updated some, but it seems stuck now between 37-40 hours behind, in the last about 3 hours.

I have 13 active connections to the MMC network.

Can someone (one of the officers perhaps) look into it?

Thx

Can you provide some information such as the block number that you're stuck on and the wallet version?

It's about time -- All merrit accepted !!!
i thought it may be, a shame really if the most optimized or really any code for a project is closed source.

open source is always the best way however each development team has a right to do things as they see fit and if you launch a coin an someone build a closed source miner for it , it is not something you can really control .

cest la ville
YAM is closed source, so you can't compile it. There are only pre-compiled versions available.

We need volunteers to prepare objective data for "Memorycoin Infographics". Within a day or two, Memorycoin Marketing Team is going to submit its first infographic about Memorycoin with its new logo design.

can you point me to the source code of the cpu miner that can generate these results please and maybe compiled binaries too ?

(just in case i can't get it to compile)

I am not getting that many hash /minute on what I am using now , looks like I need to upgrade.

what this project needs is for the most optimized miner to be open source, otherwise I am going to set it aside again I think ....

While I don't like the 'voting' system , i may be able to live with it but if I can only hash at 6 or 7 a minute and there are private builds of miners doing 3-4x that not open source it is not helping the project at all - short or long term.

As far as the anon. features they are pretty much a myth, if you do some research you will discover this...

Read this for starters but it is not related to memory coin just debunking anon coin mixing ect....

The GPU miners are closed source and only offer at most - a 2X gain vs. CPU's.

Power efficiency, HPM, and Initial Investment costs are taken into consideration...

Since an R9 280x provides 18-21 HPM, an i7 can give 15HPM with half the TDP.

Well said.
As new Chief Marketing Officer of MemoryCoin, I declared my roadmap here: https://mmc-square.com/cmo/13/memorycoin-marketing-activities/280/
I know, it's not about technical developments but it might provide a general idea about our vision.

Dear author, most recently what new progress there? Also do point out ah anonymous function

Newest CMO has been elected, we are continuing research and development for multi-algo and new Proof of Connectivity concept.

V3 is set to launch in 49 days.

In fact, I'm not elected yet. I still need around 36k votes.
When I'm elected, I can assure you there will be a huge progress. However, I'll be on holiday for 2 days (3-4th of July, will be back on Saturday). Please read more.

Stealth mode is a plus but notice that before these implementations, there are some crucial points for improvement including website, social media challenge, merchant adoption and recognition of the coin. We believe these improvements should have higher priorities. If we implement stealth mode in a sudden, there will be only Pump and Dumps - this is definitely a short term solution. The best thing to do, at the moment, is to organize and approach the issues, realistically and make the improvements, step-by-step.
What is  Proof of Connectivity concept, links plz?
