Exactly. This point is absolutely correct. If too many people exploit, we will just shut our faucets down. That's how it works Tongue
While this is true, there have been faucet bots before, it's not a new thing.

I hope he releases the source code, maybe then we can find something to help block the bot.

faucet owners, be prepared for a swarm of botters: http://thebot.net/threads/faucet-bot.299472/
thebot.net community is a piece of shit. I wonder if there is anything site owners can do to stop this.

Since I knew the owner of Microwallet barely does anything for their faucet service, I never bothered to sign up with them and went with FaucetBOX instead, although I also decided to do DOGE and not Bitcoin so I would have had to.

Anyway, it seems they're targeting Microwallet specifically and only the captchas: recaptcha, and solvemedia. Is there a way for those with Microwallet faucets to change captcha services?
any faucet, regardless of the wallet service is susceptible

Faucetbox had a place for Are You Human?, and I decided to use that, so I was wondering if Microwallet has any way to easily change to a captcha the bots won't get through...
the botter is using a webservice to solve recaptcha and solvemedia, and is paying for that service. areyouhuman captchas are hackable and the botter wouldn't even need to pay, so it would be more profitable to target faucets using that captcha: http://spamtech.co.uk/software/bots/cracking-the-areyouhuman-captcha/  . that's from 2012 and they haven't changed much.

where can people get copies of those bots if there any out there?

Seriously?

If things like this get out, faucet owners will stop having faucets since they won't be profitable, and then where will we be? Faucets are great for new users to get introduced to cryptocurrencies. People shouldn't be bringing them down for a few lousy bucks.

lame. i was trying to warn faucet owners, not encourage dishonest cheapskates.

I agree, thanks for the warning. People who want to use the scripts should think twice before using it! Think of all the faucet owners!

Anybody recently got any payments or replies from Microwallet?
Really doubt it, especially with this:

I have about 0.03BTC that I would like to withdraw from an admin account, so I hope that I get that payout.

We don't usually monitor other threads, but we stumbled upon this post.

As we have stated before, we value faucet owners as the driving force behind our micropayment system, so we will never charge any deposits.
We charge, instead, a small fee to faucet users, but we empower them with the choice to set their own payment threshold, so that they can lessen the impact of fees on their balance.
That's our philosophy  Cool

Paytoshi or FaucetBOX or ...? They (we) are simply different solutions to the same problem: handle micropayments and faucets.
We value diversity and we think that's simply great that you, faucet owner or user, now have the possibility to choose.

Hope to have clarified our stance.  Wink

Sorry for the intrusion,
Cheers

Nice to hear from you! It was my assumption that you may charge because normally many service providers does it after they are popular as they know many of them will use because of the trustworthiness and all regardless of the fees. So please don't disappoint or feel bad when seeing my post. Smiley

Paytoshi: Micropayments & Faucets
It's not high. For example, if you deposit 0.01BTC in FaucetBox, your account will be credited 0.0097BTC. Anyway, if the fee is the problem you can use Paytoshi and if they charge fees later(most probably they will[1]), you can stay with them if the fee is lower or migrate to FaucetBox. Smiley

[1] They just launched it. So now it may be free but if they get many owners, they may charge fee.

Do i  need to use there  faucet script.

what is best free faucet script, and why?

You don't want to use anybody's faucet script. Just request an API and integrate it to your faucet.

AFAIK there is nothing like a best faucet script. MicroPayment services mostly create it for easy-faucet-creating, so everybody can create it.

P.S. Just found that Paytoshi's faucet script has a few pre-loaded themes which can be changed from admin panel.

good suggest, thank you but that high fee
