How is it possible that you have 4 years with this project, and have the worst website of all the cryptos?

I think there has been a whole list of abandoned websites along our history.

On that note: lately i was checking out an older coin's website and really liked how simple and clear the info was organized.
Not saying we should copy but it is worth a review to take some notes..
Hype images are not necessarily needed - but it should be good and solid...
(nice job BitBar..)

Anyone able to get a Mintcoin wallet running on Mac with node connections working?

Today
I downloaded the latest 2.0.2.0 wallet and the snapshot
Added nodes from https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/MINT into a file MintCoin.conf file
Restarted the wallet
Wallet opens but still zero connections.
In debug console using command "getpeerinfo" I verify there are no connections.

Is there an issue with Mac and the Mintcoin wallet?
Or did I miss some important step?

pump n dump of course

It doesn’t look pump and dump now. Most of the coins used to be pump and dump in 2017 but welcome to 2018. It looks normal growth to me. Rest future will tell.

Hello everyone!

First let me apologize for despairing earlier at the state of this coin. There is a lot to be positive about, and it's a whole new year!

I manage the Mintcoin facebook page, and not only is there a surge of interest, but also plenty offers of technical assistance have come my way.

Of course, now that the price has increased somewhat (alternating between 1-2 Sats was pretty miserable for a while) it is the perfect time to regain some momentum!

What I'd really like to do is have a role call for active developers, web site administrators, social media managers, willing volunteers, etc.

Post a reply or send me a DM.

Let's make 2018 a great year for Mintcoin!

Looking forward to 2018!

This coin is one of the cheapest in crypto according to coin supply. Mint is always my favourite since a long time. Time for mint to grow now. I am excited to see it grow.

Amazing to see all the newbies buying these dead coins with billions of supply. Most of these coins with billions of supply are pumping now because of Ripple, ADA and Tron. You newbies will learn the lesson like I did when I started buying altcoins way back in 2015. It is something that you all need to learn the hard way. Good luck though.

I forgot, to stake you need to keep the wallet open?

no need to leave it running like you would on a static reward proof of stake, with % based rewards you can leave the wallet locked or even completely closed and it will still build weight over time. I'm not sure but I don't even think it has a "max coin age anymore" so even small wallets can get their cut if they are patient (with many poscoins with limited coin age small wallets don't have enough time to build weight before they max out and never find a block)

I was also reminded the other day the a large chunk of the coins supply was lost during some mintpal fiasco... so there is significantly less coin supply than what is stated on coinmarketcap.

I'm glad to see some of the old solid proof of stake coins getting some love. When currencies work they don't need to blow smoke up peoples a$$es claiming they are going to be the next BTC ect... I had been trading MINT on Cryptopia for a week or so buying at 3 and selling at 4 lol so I'm a bit bummed my 25% spread is gone but I'll be happily trading and minting like the good ol days.

a little publicity could go a long way for sure... hint I'd rather see classic coins on my facebook ads than all the smoke and mirror ICO's that I see.
