Hello everyone!

First let me apologize for despairing earlier at the state of this coin. There is a lot to be positive about, and it's a whole new year!

I manage the Mintcoin facebook page, and not only is there a surge of interest, but also plenty offers of technical assistance have come my way.

Of course, now that the price has increased somewhat (alternating between 1-2 Sats was pretty miserable for a while) it is the perfect time to regain some momentum!

What I'd really like to do is have a role call for active developers, web site administrators, social media managers, willing volunteers, etc.

Post a reply or send me a DM.

Let's make 2018 a great year for Mintcoin!

I can help with the website, it REALLY needs help hah.

What are these nodes?
https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/MINT

It's possible to establish more new nodes?

that nodes is an ordinary wallet but running at a server with almost 100% uptime,
they helps securing the network.

yes, you can create new one.
rent a server, probably with linux OS, then compile the wallet.
leave it for staking. thats it

says 200k balance, but apparently in the wallet i see 0 balance, with 0 transactions. The wallet does show the same exact address. Wallet is 100% sync'd

Try rescan and/or repair wallet.

Hey bro, kudos, i tried repair/upgrade, but forgot about -rescan which i believe will resolve the issue, and it seems so since the wallet.dat file grew by about 20kb.

Regards,
T.k.

i'm baffled, i haven't touched like 50 coins in 3 years, and i'm checking my mintcoin wallet https://prohashing.com/explorer/Mintcoin/ address: MneXzGpc5hWTt1o68DcBYzuRdWB3VLug51

says 200k balance, but apparently in the wallet i see 0 balance, with 0 transactions. The wallet does show the same exact address. Wallet is 100% sync'd

I tried to import the priv key to a new wallet, and i only say 1 incoming transaction of 800k mint, my very first transaction and nothing else, 0 balance still.

Did a hardfork occur or something? or is my wallet just fucked up or something. This is really strange for a crypto wallet to behave like this.

Just downloaded the wallet last week and whilst in sync my earliest transfer is 2/8/2014 15:53.

wow people yes it takes some time to download the blockchain, the chain is years long and over 3.5 gigs, add the nodes and leave it running in the back ground. once it's synced back up the whole file so you never have to start from scratch again.

addnode=72.226.24.176:12788

Its legit going to take forever to sync this. The Snapshot doesn't working correctly either. Any advice?

Same here, I already asked for addnodes but it doesn't appear anybody has them.

I'm at half sync now about about 6 days straight.

is there anyway I can do it in sections as opposed to the whole thing leaving my PC running for 10 hours on the basis that it may or may not have crashed? Or is there a way to Add nodes to download the blockchain faster. I have no idea how to add the nodes if you could help that'd be great

I don't know of any way to sync in sections. The only way I know is leaving your PC running for hours. There's a tutorial explaining how to add nodes here.

Having extreme difficulty syncing wallet. I've tried the Snapshot way and once i've extracted the files the wallet just crashes upon relaunch, any help guys?

Are you sure it's crashed, or does it seem to freeze? If it freezes it could be indexing the blockchain, and that can take over ten hours because there's so many blocks in it.

I suggest using the zipped mintcoin blockchain download from cryptochainer together with those addnodes to sync faster.

http://108.61.216.160/cryptochainer.chains/chains/MintCoin_blockchain.zip

The website provides zipped blockchain downloads for numerous cons.
