If any potential new adopters go to ANY of the faucets listed in the first page of this directory they will be disappointed. Why are they still listed?

I mine on 2 pools: http://mint.hashrapid.com and http://mint.hashstrike.com
Have them as failover backups to each other in Cgminer. Works well for me.

I honestly don't know about that. I know that my payouts are in the 200 - 400 Mintcoin range with ~3,000 Mhash/s and the time between payouts is on average 10 - 20 minutes. So I'm seeing about 4 payouts per hour at 300 Mintcoins = about 30,000 Mintcoins per day at today's payout and difficulty combination (give or take based on luck).
