You can get more mintcoin by mining profitable alts and buying mintcoin than you can mining mintcoin alone.

Well that's true for all coins, but I don't know of any more profitable then mintcoin mining right now.
2x 280x = 1.5Mhs = 500,000 coins a day at 6 sat = .03BTC a day, that's about double i was getting with Doge and we all know 6 Satoshis is low

after the first year, Mint will have a maximum of 84 billion coins? (70BB + 20%) or will the maximum always be 70BB?
Yes, 20% inflation (MUCH more than fiat money). Actually a little less cause some people will keep their wallets down.
Am I doing my math correctly here? I know I'm estimating a little at the beginning.

Well no, these numbers are figured in a way that minting starts after week 5, but I guess it would actually be closer to week 3.

The mac mintcoin wallet doesn't even pop up a window on my machine … it just dies immediately.
Mac wallet didn't work for me either. Neither do any mac wallets for some reason!!
Time to buy a PC
LOL on a side note pc's are quite cheap now
I know it's crazy. Nowadays you can buy a nice branded sweatshirt for the same price as an average PC.

The mac mintcoin wallet from mega won't start for me. Anybody have it working ?
I can't get the mac to work either.. tells me there is an error loading blkindex.dat and just shuts down after.. also on my pc windows wallet it won't sync.. even after changing the config file I am stuck at block 44xx.. been trying to get the windows wallet to sync for days I have no idea what to do
