Wow, so the airdrop is on the 26th.  When will the gold backing be announced?  I mean, the gold backing is what gives NAUT its value - so if the airdrop takes place in 11 days then that announcement should be soon.

Unless the gold backing is off the table.

Thanks for putting all this together, Lee.

Tell me if I'm understanding this correctly, will I be swapping out my Nautiluscoin for Nxt Coins, or will I be just using my Naut Coins on the Nxt System?

Nxt Coins have over 999,997,096 supply while Naut has a 5,322,099 supply.  Is coin swap going going to dilute the worth of my Naut Coins.

I would like to the know these details before proceed.

You get NAUT, a coin that exists on the Monetary System (MS) within NXT, supported and secured by the existing NXT network.

http://nxter.org/nxt-core-monetary-system/
https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Monetary_System
https://nxtforum.org/monetary-system/

It seems NAUT was created with max supply 16'180'000 and type 'exchangeable': "Exchangeable currencies can be traded for the NXT currency in the Exchange Booth of the Nxt client, which operates differently than the Asset Exchange. A currency owner can publish a combined buy/sell offer pair with an expiration block height and quantity limits. Only one active offer per account is permitted. Requests to buy or sell offered currency can submitted by anyone. These exchange requests are executed immediately (fully or partially) or not at all if no matching offers are found."
But probably more relevant is the dedicated exchange for gold value.

His definitely not BCNXT HAHA

his at a private dinner at the moment with

Management Attendees:
James Allgrove, Head of UK Growth - Stripe
Nicolas Cary, Co-Founder  - Blockchain
Christophe Delacroix, General Manager UK – ShopKeep POS
Nick Grove, Founder  - NXT Drachmae
Tony Gallippi, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman – Bitpay Inc
Ali Farid Khwaja, Chief Financial Officer – SafeCharge Ltd
Marcel Roelants, General Manager EMEA – Bitpay Inc.

I bet this is going to pee a few of these guys off haha we have done what they have done on shirt buttons

It's a short (40 minute) panel discussion :

Quote
Panel discussion: Bitcoin and blockchain move mainstream
Tony Gallippi, Co-founder / Executive Chairman, Bitpay
Nicolas Cary, Co-Founder, Blockchain
Nick Grove, Founder, NXT - Drachmae
Tom Robinson, Chief Operating Officer, Elliptic Enterprises Ltd

So it's most likely to be about more general trends and concepts than about specific project details.
BTW: Nick's entry should probably read 'Coinstructors Founder, NXT-Drachmae' , but I'm just nit-picking.
Nice to have the attention of some big financial players.....  Grin

NXT will be there.  I wonder how much detail they'll discuss about drachmae and if NAUT will be discussed.

If you want more nodes, just a friendly "hey guys, wondering if we can get more nodes up??" will generally do it. Your general thread tone is very blunt and aggressive at times.  It's probably not meant to be, but thats the way its coming across.

Ps i'm syncing my wallet up now to run 24/7. As I said, all you need to do is ask if it can happen.

Nicely put.

A question. If NAUT isn't POS, then how can syncing a wallet to run 24/7 help any issues with network speed ? I was under the impression that, because it is currently POW, it is miners who 'maintain' the network. This is what I understand from the rest of your response.

If there is way of a wallet being open 24/7 helping, then do share that info, because I'll try the same, and would suggest that others might be interested to do so.

You guys can run your nodes.

We aren't here to run your network and support it.

Our work is not to listen to your bullcrap and if you cant support the currency your holding even with nodes to make the coins move then whats the point.

if you run a full node you can see the block chain, interact with it and so on.

if you need someone elses block explorer to use blockchain technology you are not capable technically and have no business trying to implement software like this.

This in itself ppl for anyone reading this.It is a major sign things arnt right here.

if coinstructors was any good, ya wouldent be posting on BCT about not being able to find the block chain WTF!!>>>>> how dumb are you??

there is no way i will be swapping any coins if its being handled by such a incompetent company with a dumb spokes person.

you work something else out cuz right now no one here is listening to wat you have to say and no one is trusting you and why should we either.

Again POS was mean't to happen last year. BK quit BCT so its hard to communicate. There are places in this thread where people offered to make it happen, but it fell on deaf ears.
There was even talk of a community take over early on.
With a low hash rate coins will move slower, we have a low hash rate because there is very, very minimal rewards. Its not worth mining. We have to cover our electricity bills.  If we had already forked across to POS, I think you would find an entirely different community here.

If you want more nodes, just a friendly "hey guys, wondering if we can get more nodes up??" will generally do it. Your general thread tone is very blunt and aggressive at times.  It's probably not meant to be, but thats the way its coming across.

New Naut works perfectly fine

Let us know when you resolve the naut issue as Holders of supporting the network at least to move the your holdings around

What issue? The network is working perfectly fine. The blockhain is moving.
Is this your first week in crypto?

Also: lose the attitude, kid

you guys think we are implementing something for the blockchain?

Well theres the point how can you test when naut does not move HuhHuhHuhHuh

So it would be helpful to resolve that issue 1st.

Otherwise how can you test?HuhHuh?

Our work is not to listen to your bullcrap and if you cant support the currency your holding even with nodes to make the coins move then whats the point.

Here's an idea. How about providing us with an update about the testing that a number of us have said we are willing to help out with ?

there is seriously something wrong with you, your not making any sense watsoever.

Why would we need to test our own coins on our own network when you are ment to be in charge of the software implementation.

Still there is no scope of work

Still we get stupid responses to very real concerns we as the community have with coinstructors and you Grant Lee.

You seem to think we owe you something for owning a piece of a network and thats just not the case.

It just seems to me this is being handled incredibly amateur.

In what universe does someone doing a software implementation not know how to use/speak/interact with the software they are working on?Huh?/!!!!!??

theres no point trying at this stage as you dont even understand what im talking about

What your not understanding here is we literally do not have to do anything you say. The largest holders of this coin control the network not you.

The old naut works atm too so i dont know wat ur about. If you cant seem to use a blockchain thats not our fault yet you seem to try and pass it off as the communities issues when we are all able to send naut to and from exchanges and each other.

if the swap is done any other way then on bittrex ill be keeping my coins on this chain and if need be forking and rebranding =)

if other feel the same way i do, we in effect have consensus over all decisions coinstructors make to do with naut, to the point where im sure BK could get the money back that he paid you if you dont complete the work.

You have clearly let the community know how newbish you are with all these comments and replies to simple things.

If simple things are hard for you, hard things with be impossible.

i really dont see things going smoothly with such a immature company and spokes person in every sense of the word.

Besides the blockchain not moving it's totally unsecured.

That's a serious issue which should be resolved before any value is added.  As it is it would be easy for a hacker to double spend or sabotage NAUT into oblivion.
