It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.
I hold NAV, Darkcoin, and Monero and keep up to date on all of them.
As already pointed out, monero is hard to use (no gui and large blockchain) and has slow transaction times. It seems to be VERY anonymous at this point, but my fear (and many others) is that quantum computing that could come out in the next decade (to powerful 3 letter organizations) could easily break the encryption and reveal ALL previous transactions as they are still in the blockchain. Darkcoin is confused with coinjoin mixing a lot because that's what it is originally based on, but in reality has FAR surpassed its early implementations and is now much more complex. It has even been peer reviewed by professional cryptographers. This form of anonymous transactions provides security against quantum computing in the future. The NAV whitepaper seems to include the best of both worlds, with off-chain transactions and encryption. Obviously this hasn't been implemented yet, but if the Dev can deliver, it will really be something special. From an investment standpoint, this could be the biggest payoff if it works. There is no need to put down other top level anon coins, we should look to them to see what they are doing right, and wrong so that NAV can learn from it. If monero is truly anonymous could you please show some proof. What I am saying is that this was my impression. Monero was often mentioned in anon talks, saying how it was truly anonymous as opposed to "almost but not quite" darkcoin. Admitedly I have not done any research but yours is the first post I see claiming that monero isn't truly anonymous. Is that something you assume or something you know? So you're telling me Monero is truly anonymous but isn't worth utilizing because it is a pain in the ass? Regardless of anon quality, monero is a royal pain to use and I have little doubt that unless this is fixed, it will never go mainstream. And a currency that doesn't go mainstream is ultimately doomed to fail. Why they still have no official and/or fully working GUI is beyond me I am not saying I did not succeed in setting it up because I did, but I really had no choice since I have to be ready to accept a lot of it coming from mintpal. If they ever get their act together that is. I really hope they don't sink before they give me my money.
Is new wallet releasing soon?
I like the debate here.
So you're telling me Monero is truly anonymous but isn't worth utilizing because it is a pain in the ass?
If monero is truly anonymous could you please show some proof. Main Problem of monero is the complete missing GUI Client. Have you ever tried setting up a client and sent a monero? It a pain in the ass
If monero is truly anonymous could you please show some proof.
Yeah I do see $1.00 USD per Nav if the tech is really anonymous within the next few months. Darkcoin, XC, Monero, Bitcoindark, etc reached over $1.00 USD for each coin but dropped once investors realized that they weren't completely anonymous. I thought monero was truly anonymous
Yeah I do see $1.00 USD per Nav if the tech is really anonymous within the next few months. Darkcoin, XC, Monero, Bitcoindark, etc reached over $1.00 USD for each coin but dropped once investors realized that they weren't completely anonymous. A completely anonymous coin that is open sourced will be worth as much as bitcoin if can be adopted by Merchants, Silkroad like websites and other Dark Web TOR websites. Remember the USD is the most used currency for crime around the world period! People trust what works and has value. Just because criminals used the US Dollar for illegal activities doesn't the stop the rest of the world from accepting and utilizing the US Dollar to pay their rent, phone bills, at grocery stores, to buy bitcoins, pay childcare, to buy homes, cars or any other forms of property. Cash rules everything around us! Anonymous Transactions will be cash for the digit world! No emails, physical address, Government issued ID or IP address is collected. It is not about what the individual does with the cash/cryptocurrency that matters but the fact that there are individuals using the CASH/Cryptocurrency. If NAV can become completely anonymous the mainstream media would do all the marketing for us. Just like when the Mainstream Media started advertising Bitcoin by attacking it for being used as a currency on the Silkroad website. No new is bad. Bad news is still news. Don't expect 100% of the world's population to accept NAV because the World's population has never agreed on anything. For example, who is the most attractive women/man in the world? There will be thousands of different responses. All we need is a decent size majority of the cryptocurrency community to agree that NAV is anonymous when that time comes! So hopefully the NAV team delivers on the anonymous technology or this will fail like the other so called anonymous cryptocurrencies.
We will see mate,we will see.....
